That being said they do value what McClay has to offer, and pay him well enough to where he doesn't want to bolt to get the GM title.

They certainly are better at the draft. I would like to see them do a better job poaching players released after final cuts and off practice squads.

His job is finding the talent. He's not responsible for coaching them up

I think William McClay has the college context insight two players. Isn't that the GM's job to find the talent. This is not your normal franchise. Another team's the GM's have the responsibility of putting his coaching staff together also.
