The Walking Dead-Season 9-Episodes 9-16

Thought it was a good episode.

The Daryl/Connie combo works!

The new group was interesting and glad it did not end in the usual one group wiping out the other.

The Daryl/Beta fight scene was very good.
 
yep. overall we've moving along nicely. loved bringing "when was the last time you watched a movie" and how they keep getting mileage out of that.

I also liked the fight scene. And I think Beta is much cooler than Alpha.

That said, I'm beyond tired of this whole Romeo and Juliet thing and it's clear that it's going to get people killed.

And I have to state again, where are all of those guns these people obviously have? Do they appear and disappear as writers see fit now?

no way can we end an "enemy" that quickly. we will be dragging the romeo and juliet like roadkill here before long, if not already.

Yeah, nobody can decompress a story like the Walking Dead can.

This next big, bad routine is beyond stale, and each one gets weaker than the last.

If this is truly all they have at this point? Just put this thing out of its (and our) misery.

we went from some promise and hope to 2 kids falling in love.

TWD has been a lot of things in its existence but it's never been a love story. til now.

will be happy when we get back to gratuitous killing.

Tell me how it is that's Daryl hasn't just kicked that kid's *** and beat the **** out of him and taken his back to his "parents" and told them how he's put everyone's lives in jeopardy?

This puppy love nonsense is likely going to get a lot of innocent people killed before it's all said and done, that looks crystal clear. And when that happens or we the viewers expected to feel sadness or loss? Because all I'll be feeling is blame. Blame for the kid that caused it all, and blame for the characters that stood back while it all happened.

Pardon the pun, but I can clearly see the @iceberg coming!

Seen many love story soap opera type story lines over the years.

The whose the babie's daddy story early on where Shane and Lori were in love when they thought rick was gone.
Then Rick and lori in love when he comes back...with the father of the girl in question.

Glenn falling for Maggie and marrying her.

Michonne and Rick.

Carol and Daryl couple of seasons like they were trying to pair them up only for Carol to wind up with the King.

And many more.

Seems like they have had quite a bit of romances and soap opera type story lines.

Yep.

And I believe it was that sort of thing that pissed-off George Romero about the whole "The Walking Dead" thing... Too much soap opera.

He was asked to direct an episode but passed.

well i like something different. there's a lot of changes but we'll have to see what they do with it. hopefully i like it when all is said and done.
 
The number of mixed race couples on this show has jumped the shark.
