They can keep them and not be able to field a decent team with a bunch of jag's at the other positions and they've been there before when Booger was star power driven.

Whoop de do! Who cares about their feelings? We’ve had the good ole boy network going on for too long in this organization....see: Sean Lee and Witten as the latest examples. We need a more proactive vs reactive approach to building a SB team. I like it! After 23 years maybe we’ve finally got someone in the organization that’s figuring it out!

Lewis made a helluva int on Brees to close out the game last year..and it was a difficult int. That play and some others made me want this dude to be here longterm. Takeaways matter.

Byron... I really don't. Dude looks like a stud CB, and he's very, very low risk. 4 totally healthy seasons in a row, 26 years old, elite athleticism, good technique, one of the smartest guys on the team, ambitious off the field, zero character issues.... I'd give him 5 years $75M tomorrow. And I bet you he'd live up to every cent of it.

He just has playmaking ability you can't teach.

Jourdan is probably the most tradeable player we have who would bring the best value. I lkie him a lot and would not let him go for less than a 2nd - ought to see if Miami wants him for Quinn.

No. If we can get a mid to high 1st, then do it. Corners who can cover like Jones, with his size, don't fall out of the sky. They are actually few and far between. Most of them are limited in the technique they can play at CB. That's not the case with Jones. He can play in multiple types of schemes, using multiple techniques. I know it's the in thing to say that he doesn't have INTs so he is not as valuable but honestly, I don't agree. It's really hard to find Corners with his size and his abilities to plug and play.

Teams overvalue their own talent. They would be lucky to get more than a third for Jones and more than a 5th for Lewis. This is about unloading salary and getting something now cause doesn't look like they would resign Jones.
