With this offensive line, Zeke Elliott in the backfield, Cooper, Gallup, Cobb, Witten, and Jarwin catching passes, just about every starting QB in the NFL could be efficient.

Good gosh.
“This offensive line” hahahahahahahaha

They were hammered by injuries all year and were average at best.

Bottle up those tears of yours for me when Dak signs that new deal, will you? YUMMY!!!

I looked back 5 pages to see if this had been posted. I did not see it. If this is a repeat, I apologize.

Some will see the info here as a great compilation of dak's history with the Cowboys. A positive outlook and argument that he will end up being great.

Others will find this to be humorous.

I merely posted this and offer zero opinion.

Author..."The Prescott 7" everything hangs on Dak's performance in the playoffs.

Romo's career is proof...

Thanks for sharing

The best thing about seeing Dak become a great NFL QB is proving to all, especially @dallasdave @Melonfeud @Furboy @Fletch and last but not least @Corso that pigs can fly. I can see it now, Jerry having flying pigs at halftime. Oh, is will be grand! Grand, I tell you!
:lmao: ha,ha,ha, I've a half a fistful of fig newtons over there in my starboard side saddle bag there Gimme, help yerself to a couple & then go ahead & pull yerself a long draught outta that glass bottle laying along the very bottom of that bag, my man, as I reckon yer' more needing it than me @ the present,,,

You're forgetting the opposing defensive coordinators figuring out how to play him part.
That's the biggest factor in my opinion.

IMO it was a big factor, but it was about stopping Dallas and not stopping Prescott. At midseason in 2017 Dallas didn't have any downfield threats and the team was built around Zeke. When Zeke was suspended they would run blitz all day and cheat against the short stuff, knowing that Dez/Witten in 2017 and Hurns/Swain in early 2018 weren't going to beat anyone deep.

IMO it was more about the receiving options and Linehan turning super-predictable than it was about Prescott. Dak has his flaws and clearly still has a lot to learn like any young QB, but the team is built around the run and for that stretch there was no one to make opposing defenses pay for selling out against the run.

Title should read the "Next Tim Tebow Project"......only thing Great about Dak is how he has found himself starting at QB for America's team....but you know what they say.....one's LUCK cannot last forever.....!!!!

Dak is Dak. Love it, or hate it. He's our QB. He's solid, and I'm okay with that, assuming we can build the right team around him.

Those WRs looked pretty damn good before he got here.

And now 2/3rds of that group are a cup of coffee away from being out of the NFL entirely, 3/4s if you include the TE. Dak isn’t responsible for that. Your ability to exaggerate is truly impressive, even by this forum’s standards.

For 2017, it was Linehan, WRs, and QB, in that order.

He's limited as a passer so him running more is his only real upside.

Then we aren't winning. Again, you don't win by having a QB "run more". And what you're asking should come naturally - if he doesn't know when to take off and run, he will never know. Designing a playbook around running is not the way to go in the NFL. This isn't college.

Exactly. They ranked near the bottom of the league during the first half of the season. Once they acquired Amari, they were back in the top ten.

Dak is as good as his surrounding talent—exactly what we’re telling you. No one is claiming he’s elite.

Not that I disagree with what you said in the first part. However, you know what is funny?

Posting the bolded part in a thread titled "Dak Prescott: The NFL's next great QB". (Yes, I know its the title of the video, just made me laugh a little bit).
