My pet cat is KaVontae Turpin who just ran a 4.31 forty at his Pro Day. I want this guy so bad as our punt returner and slot WR. I don't trust Tavon Austin will get the job done and run his mouth more than actually producing. Turpin should be available somewhere in the mid rounds. With everyone seeing how Tyreek Hill has exploded as a player, teams will be looking for similar players. Turpin I would love wearing The Star.

So who is your pet cat in this draft?

Admittedly this is a bit of homerism here, but I am big on Dexter Williams, TB from ND.

Doesn't have a huge track record at ND given he had some issues with Kelly and found himself in his doghouse until his last year (and also was suspended). But any time he did play, he showed a real skill set at TB. He can catch the ball, he's strong, he's not a burner but has some quicks and shows solid cutting ability. Some questions about pass protection (which dogged him at times at ND and is a big deal with Kelly), but overall he's a mid-round TB that I think could be a bell cow in this league.

On the homer front all mountaineer fans loved David Sills but I think Gary Jennings will be a great snag at WR. David Long jr. At LB will snap some heads once he gets on the field.

It's Darnell Savage and it isn't close. It saddens me that we haven't met with him.

If what Stephen Jones said last year is any indication, I wonder what they are actually looking for in their safeties.

Is it possible they just don’t think he fits here?

I don't know if he rises to a full-blown pet cat, but I have been quite intrigued by Isiah Buggs, DL from Alabama. I've watched some film and, although he played multiple positions along Alabama's line, wonder he he would make a good DT3 for the Cowboys. His raw power is quite impressive.. not much in the wat of a pass rushing DT, but would certainly contribute to the run defense. Probably could be had in the 3rd.

Besides, with Buggs as a surname, you could have a lot of fun as an a announcer. :)
