65 MIL GUARANTEED...OUCH.

Honestly....what did you expect? Jerry got cute last year by not signing him long term...All it did was make a mess of everything.

Still....I don't care what is being reported in the media. It's all funny money. I expect him to be here for the next 3 years...w/ a reworking of the contract in between to free up some money for another ungodly sum of funny money to keep this stupid train moving.

Here is to 54.00 Crown and cokes @ the stadium...(wish I was kidding)

One of my favorite talent evaluators Louis Riddick tweeted this...

For the few fans here saying Lawrence is a mediocre DE, why did every single media outlet list Tank as the #1 free agent available this entire offseason?

It's one thing to think Cowboy fans overrate a player, but why would every football talking head claim he's the top possible free agent if he was "mediocre"?

Personally, I'm glad that he is 1)no longer playing under the tag and 2) playing this year at a smaller cap number. With Quinn, when is the last time we had two bookend DE's this good?

You know and understand football. Many on here don’t seem to.

What Lawrence adds to this defense is way, way more than the number of sacks he gets. The guy is a very good DE in all aspects of the position. He’s young, plays with the right demeanor, and is the leader of what is one of the best defenses in the league.

There’s no way the team could let him get away. He just means too much to the defense. Plus, as you mentioned, with Quinn opposite him, the pass rush is going to be much better than Dallas has had in I don’t know how long.

I’m very excited to watch the defense this year.

Surgery better be scheduled tomorrow morning

Let's be honest...D-Law's tactic to get a deal done worked. Now watch how many players use this as a tool to get a new deal.

Regardless...I'm glad it's done. I'm sure Lawrence is chomping @ the bit to get the surgery...I know I would be if it's something that has been bothering me.

Here is to healing... and good health in 2019:dance:

We are all aware of that backside pressure. The QB can't see the blindside rusher coming off the edge and then, boom, big hit, sack, maybe a fumble. The thing about Tank is he is right in the QB's view side. YOU SEE HIM COMING. Quinn and hopefully Gregory are going to clean up this year. If we can add a true interior pressure player and a safety who can cover ground, we are going to be a problem for offenses. Maybe Maliek Collins in his contract year, a rejuvenated Tyrone Crawford, the moving-Kerry Hyder- to-DT project, or the 58th pick will be that interior pass rusher.
