LOL.

I got to be honest............ I like Lawrence and wanted him back but it rubs me the wrong way that he used his shoulder as leverage and now has possibly put part of the 2019 season in jeopardy because of it.

I am sure other will disagree with me but it just doesn't sit well with me. Hopefully it's a 4 month thing and he's back for some or most of August camp.

Basically preseason will be his training camp. I don’t think he will be 100% by season starts.

I think he starts TC on PUP. And we will get the "day to day" from you know who.
He can still start the season, but like all the other starter who won't play in PS games, they all start rusty. So it doesn't matter actually.

Hopeful Gregory can be on the field this year, him and quinn may have to take over the pass rush the first few games.
I don’t see how. Unless goodell allows it. He missed a test. Didn’t fail it but missed it, same thing.

So give him no credit for playing with the shoulder injury? They are quick to say this is a business, but once players treat it like a business we get mad at them? We could say the front office put 2019 in jeopardy by not singing him. Dont be so quick to attack players when we know the front office and the whole NFL schemes players heavy.

Who said anything about not giving him credit?

And let's note, I think part of the reason he played with it was because he decided against having surgery last year when he could have fixed it then.

The Cowboys signed him well before more tagged players get signed so I don't really blame them here at all. In fact, they likely buckled to Lawrence's ploy because they had a calendar just like us and realized they were putting part of the 2019 season in jeopardy.

Some folks have been trained to side with management no matter the subject.

I’m sure 90 will be back in time, but is this the same issue Isaiah Stanback had back in the day?

Didn’t he have surgery and have issues with the shoulder still popping out? Or did not ever have the surgery.

No, treating it like a business is doing your part. His part is being ready to play if they give him the contract he was asking for. Now, they gave him the contract and he very well could not be available for 1/4 of the 20 mill he is getting this year.

That's poor form on his part!

He’s not going to miss any of the season over this.

There can always be unforeseen setbacks, but he's not the type of player to "nurse" an injury or that has a low pain threshold, so I'd almost guarantee that he'll be on the field for the season opener. The only way he won't be is if the doctors don't clear him because playing could do further damage.

a professional athlete with a professional medical staff with physical therapists at his disposal will probably recover in less time. I would expect him to be ready to play the first game of the new season. deals are typically centered around the timing aspect of things.
