People honestly think Dak is going to regress or fall apart lol that is literally the least likely scenario. Maybe if you predict he’ll stay relatively similar then we can have an honest discussion; but thinking the guy is going to take such a step back he won’t be resigned is just a haters fairy tale

The many Dak haters out there want him to regress and fail so the team won't re-sign him. They hope he plays poorly and we lose games so he and Garrett get booted out of here. I've seen this so many times during the game chat I stopped doing the game chat.

Tank, Dak, Cooper, Jaylon, Zeke, and Byron.

Say goodbye to that cap space.
Who cares. We sign our FAs and draft picks and thats it. Its not like they are hoing to to sign a big free agent ever. So who cares if are close to the cap?

I guess that want to get a deal done before Wilson gets 35+ million a season.

What Wilson gets won’t have any affect on what Dak gets, Wilson has a much better resume. It’s what the QBs who haven’t accomplished what Wilson has that will have an affect on what Dak gets. Dak and his agent will be looking at what Carr and Jimmy G got.

Yet that contract straped us for 3 years into being able to do nothing...And look where it got us? a top 5 pick when Romo got hurt because the rest of our roster was turds. We had no depth....and now you want to go down that path again for a QB that is half as good as Romo?

Holy crapp, where did you get that from what I said? Are you on drugs?

No, Romo's contract was far from the problem. Shallow analyses.

If Dak will give us a discount, say $25 million or under...…….then go ahead and resign him now.

If Dak wants to get paid and is demanding $30 million or more...……..then make him play out the season.

Wait, worse than Ryan Leaf and Drew Henson? Worse than Babe Laufenberg LMAO? Worse than Brad "I didn't know arm cancer was a thing?" Johnson?
No use debating with Greg. He's a hardcore Romosexual, even though he says he isn't. Trust me, I know. lol

Not necessarily, for while I will pretty much forever remain slightly perturbed over the how, what&why of exit #9/enter #4, as first& foremost the wealth of footballish ability ROMO could've imparted upon PRESCOTT thru the mere osmosis of time/proximity was beyond short sighted if not borderline criminal in it being discounted outright( apparently) also, the under utilization of exploiting the #4's inherent strong suite of his FOREWORD MOBILITY & attempting to mold him into a pocket passer which he really never was to begin with from my understanding
( although, I'm inclined to believe he's showing signs of improvement in that regard as well as his still visual shortcomings in the passing game remain apparent, likewise ) yet mostly what I find humorously ludicrous & befuddling in this either/ or / concept of thought along the lines of romosexuals vs.
dakslobbers, one or the other,,,AS just how operationally dysfunctional in thought & deed a COWBOYS Fan really would be suffering from while attempting to enjoy the simple FANDOM of which it entails , were this beyond lame& overly espoused dictum were really true ,,,er,,,ya know?o_O

SHEESE:facepalm:
Sorry, Melon, I know what I know from experience. Don't say it to incite either. Dak is very good. Some fans simply hate him for the reason I previously stated. It is what it is.

I was a critic of Romo too in many situations.

What AC fails to mention is he was a leading basher of Romo and it appears his agenda is about Dak accomplishing more than Romo to fulfill his hate for a Romo.

I actually like Dak and recognize his intangible assets. I’m just critical of his lack of prolific passing abilities.

And concerned about having a franchise QB who’s more of a Bus Driver than elevating those around him. When he’s surrounded by a star studded talent we are competitive but still not championship caliber on offense.
Ha. What Greg fails to tell y'all is that I too was a big supporter of Romo... until he pulled off that Cabo bull during the playoffs. The dude went Hollywood and stayed that way throughout his 20s, wasting his youthful and most precious years. By the time he got it, he was in his 30s and his body was breaking down and constantly getting injured.

Saw it coming a mile away. Even said after that Cabo stunt that he would never be able to lead the Cowboys to any championship game (including a NFC Conference Championship game). Time proved that to be true.

The same goes for Dak. Best get it done while you're young and healthy before your body starts breaking down due to injury. Plenty of time to go Hollywood after you retire or after you win a few championships. Time does not wait for anyone.

Hey Man! it ain't no biggie, nor cause to become fuzzed up over, as that command decision of WHOSE to be slated for Promotion & WHOSE scheduled for the free burial plot w/Honours didn't have a single fine blond hairs worth of weighted impact in that decision coming from anyone posting regularly on this forum,,,as this is "my" know what I know learnered experience of opinion ,,, er,,,ya know,Bro?:lmao2:

I lost track how many times Tyrod Taylor was brought up to replace Dak, with some claiming he's as good if not better than Dak. Taylor just signed with his 4th team in March after lasting only one season in Cleveland. The Browns were so sure he wasn't the answer, they used the #1 overall pick on Mayfield after they had already signed Taylor. You have fans here who want to trade multiple #1s for Russell Wilson, who only a few years ago was being called a bus driver by fans on this board. Everything fans here were saying about Wilson they're now saying about Dak. There can't be a dumber fan base in the NFL than this one and the biggest collection of dummies end up on this board.

you can please some of the people some of the time but not all of the people all of the time. If it isn't dissing Dak it's JG or JJ/SJ. Ok, that's fine and JG has had lots of time to prove what he can/can't do but I suspect the same dissers have a few warts as well. Perfection, meh, go find it right

O.K. COPY,,,er,,,yet at least the #9 knew EXACTLY what his committed intent was WHILE OUT ON THE FIELD,,, I could damn sure discern that much twixt the two Q.B's & thusly appreciate the directed cap allocations

Well, you can bet your booties that Prescott's agent will be sayin "we want your last QB's pay range" plus inflation and inflated prices over the past 6 years. This may not be accurate but I think #9 was the top paid QB for awhile after he signed an extension. I don't think Prescott should be that but he should be in the same pay grade as Goff and Wentz who were drafted the same year and have the same # of scalps on the horn. Just my thoughts and a horse is a horse of course of course |:)
