Also Sydla, it always feels like to me that cowboys fans really overrate their OL. Is Frederick ever going to be the same? Nerve injuries are tricky things. Both OLs are among the best in the league.

Love how Dallas fans overrate our players yet somehow a team we swept last year has the edge
QB. Eagles. Not even close
RB. Cowboys. Not close
WR. Cowboys. But close
TE. Eagles.
OL. Eagles.
DL. Eagles. Depth.
LB. cowboys...but this is a dying position.
CB cowboys
S eagles
K/p. Eagles are strong here. Not sure how the cowboys are.

Lol. Man those big bad Eagles we've beaten 5 of the last 6 games have it all over us.

What a joke.

Depends on the results.

Statistically, the Eagles secondary actually was more effective against thebpass than we were if you look at stats like opposing passer ratings, etc.

You apparently seriously overrate how good our secondary was last year.

Let’s ask it this way. Would our secondary be better with Malcolm Jenkins playing SS or Jeff Heath?

Id rather be on the winning team 5 of last 6 in h2h contests.

And Jenkins is a plus player but no game changer. One of the most overrated players in the NFL IMO.

Not only that Wentz has a losing record in 2 of the 3 seasons. His stats aren't better than Daks. People forget the year Wentz was 11-2 most of his TDs came with his defense getting turnovers with him starting in the redzone. Even the eye test tells you Wentz isn't better

I don't how true or not true your statement is that "most of Wentz's TDs came after TOs in the red zone". Wentz had 33 passing TDs in 2017. It's hard to believe that 17 or more came from red zone TOs.

Why does it matter how you got to the red zone? Whether you got there driving 70 yards or 10 yards. Or if you got there via TO from your D or STs. What matters is what you do once you get into the red zone.

It matters because it’s harder to drive 70 yards to get the td than it is to drive 10. So you’d score more if you got a disproportionate number of ten yard scoring drives.

I have no idea whether Wentz did have a lot of gimmies or not in 2017. I just know he’s hurt a lot and his team plays better for Foles.

A good friend of mine, who is an Eagles fan, was over for drinks this weekend, and we got into a debate about Philly versus Dallas. He pointed out a stupid fan poll, which said the Eagles were the favorites this coming season in the NFC East. I asked him what Philadelphia has done to make their roster that much better than the 9-7 team that sneaked into the back door of the playoffs last year, given the fact that they no longer have their Lord and Savior Nick Foles. He said Philly absolutely has a better roster than Dallas right now. I said I think he's crazy. As an exercise, let me know if you agree with this attempt at an unbiased assessment:

OFFENSE

QB: Philly
-Prescott has better stats and a better record, but Wentz has played extremely well when healthy. If both players are 100% healthy, Wentz might be a better QB. It's closer than my Eagles fan friend will ever admit, though.

RB: Dallas
-There's no debate here

WR: Dallas
-This one is where our debate would probably start. He thinks Alshon Jeffrey is a really good receiver. I'm not all that impressed with him. He's certainly a different type of receiver than Amari Cooper, but I don't think he's better. Cooper has better stats and more Pro Bowls than Jeffrey, in fewer years. At the #2 WR spot, DeShaun Jackson is probably better than Michael Gallup due to experience. At the #3 WR spot, Nelson Agholor and Randall Cobb may be a push.

TE: Philly
-Zach Ertz is one of the best in the business, for sure, and his backup is pretty good too.

OL: Dallas
-This is actually a pretty close one too, but I think if Frederick comes back at near 100%, Dallas' Great Wall will be back in business.

DEFENSE

DE: Dallas
-With Lawrence now signed and Quinn on board for a year, I think Dallas has this one

DT: Philly
-Fletcher Cox is really, really good and Malik Jackson was a good signing.

LB: Dallas
-I don't see any logical argument here.

CB: Dallas
-This may be where my bias is showing, but I think our lineup looks better than theirs. Both teams have good young CBs, but Dallas had one Pro Bowler and Philly had none, so we win.

S: Philly
-Malcolm Jenkins is a very good safety.

SPECIAL TEAMS

K: Dallas
-Maybe ... I don't know. Neither team had a particularly good kicker this year.

P: I have no idea
-Really ... no idea

I've heard it said that it would take at least 5 years to clean up the mess that Chip Kelly left behind. The Eagles are entering year 4 of that clean-up. It doesn't mean we can't be competitive and win games while in the "process" (I'm sure as a Cowboys fan you're familiar with that word) of cleaning up that mess.

By my estimation Dallas started cleaning up their mess in 2011 when Garrett became the full time HC. Cowboys are entering year 9 of their process.

Cowboys got a 5 year head-start.

I hate the Eagles, but lets count something that isn't subjective recent SBs, the Eagles have a better QB and dline and comparable oline and winning 2 out of 3 of the most important positions hands them the edge, the season hasn't begun, we could easily make the playoffs and easily be under 500 when all is said and done.

Eagles don't have a better QB and i can bet you anything you want that Dallas will not be under 500 when it's all said and done unless Dak goes down hurt. We all know which QB is the one that gets hurt and which one hasn't missed a game. If Philly has the edge you would think they could have gotten at least 1 win against us but failed because Dak owns the east and thats facts.

4 of the last 6.

They split games in 2017 and 2016.

Wentz has shown one little stretch in his career that he has what it takes to do anything. Nothing else. But yeah, people keep hyping up this dude year after year yet he hasn't accomplished anything...
If he’s unable to stay healthy he won’t do anything but the hype of his prolific passing ability is noteworthy. As usual elite talent deserves more chances to succeed.

I hate the Egirls more than any team but I marvel in elite talent .

Dak Prescott - 48 Games (32-16) - 975/1,475 (66.1%) - 10,876 Passing Yards (7.37 YPA) - 67 Passing Touchdowns - 25 Interceptions - 95.9 Rating - 944 Rushing Yards - 18 Rushing Touchdowns

Carson Wentz - 40 Games (23-17) - 923/1.448 (63.7%) - 10,152 Passing Yards (7.0 YPA) - 70 Passing Touchdowns - 27 Interceptions - 92.5 Rating - 542 Rushing Yards - 2 Rushing Touchdowns

This while Wentz has had better surrounding talent and better coaching

This really shouldn't be an argument.
