I have to say that it was decent for a popcorn movie, but disappointing due to the plot holes.

I'm going to reinforce the title and wait to post more so people can't say they weren't warned.

It was epically done.

But it is not without faults.
It is not above criticism.

8.75 of 10

Had a chance at 10 of 10.

It’s odd though. You could have told the story they told in standard 120 movie and yet there was prob much more movie left in editing room floor.

Best scene: Cap with the Hammer.
Worst scenes: All Thor scenes.

I liked the Thor scenes! But yeah, Cap and the hammer was the best scene...."I KNEW it!!" (Hey wait, your two statements are conflicting. lol)

The only scene I didn't like was the "girl power" scene near the end of the battle. That said, am I the only one who thought Scott's daughter seemed too old?

I thought same thing. He must have been thinking about it since AOU.

Girl Power was done as a ... here, in your face. I liked the idea but they should have given them a scene. Not just a power point slide insert.

Not really a spoiler but looks like Marvel has both the #1 and #2 movies at the box office this weekend. Both the drive in theaters near me had a double feature of Endgame and Captain Marvel. Would love to have gone but seems weird to be sitting in my car alone for 5-6 hours.

Been calling my shot on Captain America and Mjolnir for about 10 years.

What I didn't know I needed so badly were the great parts with Ant Man. I thoroughly enjoyed that big alien getting knocked over then Ant Man's giant foot coming from off screen to stomp it.

I have to say there were a lot of things that surprised me and I didn't expect. Starting with 'Fat Thor'. That was a funny twist I never saw coming. Now I can't wait to see 'AsGuardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. (You know it's coming!)

Now I'm expecting the setups and guest appearances to kick off the Bucky and Falcon and WandaVision and Loki DISNEY + series.

That's it for Downey Jr and Chris Evans and thanks to both for one helluva run.

And I loved the returning cameos! Kudos to all involved. Renee Russo in particular was better here than she'd ever been before.

The girl power moment about took me out of the movie entirely. It was stupid. The women's actions should have been interspersed and that scene showing Captain Marvel having help should have included characters of both genders since she's supposed to be the new leader, as it were. That scene was at complete cross-purposes with the theme they were going for and was pure agenda.

Okay, the whole time travel thing with divergent timelines was all well and good, but:

When would Steve Rogers ever be okay with wiping innocent people from existence? That is exactly what he did when he went back in time to live a life with Peggy. It was mentioned that she married and had kids with a wounded vet of WWII. Those kids no longer exist.

Also, Steve Rogers would have to have known all that was going to happen and stood back and do nothing while it all happened, letting people he could have saved die. That goes against his personality.

Also, when he went back in time and said "Hail Hydra," he let those guys know he knows about Hydra, however his younger self in that new timeline wouldn't know....thus leaving an unknowing him to deal with the ramifications of his actions.

What about the escaping Loki, who took a stone with him?

In Infinity War, Thanos said "You're not the only one cursed with knowledge" to Stark after acknowledging that he knew who he was. I thought that we'd get the reason for that in Endgame. Instead, we got the divergent timelines and death of Thanos via a new snap rather than returning him to his proper place in the timeline.

Before retiring with Peggy, HOW did Cap manage to return some of the stones, especially since he only had the stones and not their original containers? He only had the case with the stones in them.

There were all sorts of holes in the movie, but it was enjoyable. It was a letdown in comparison to Infinity War however. It was almost as if they had certain writers who wove this intricate plot until the end and at the end hired some dude off the street to write the wrap-up.

If you turn critical thinking off and just watch it without expecting continuity and intelligent writing in the solution, it's far more enjoyable. The funny bits were really funny. The Ant-man bits were great. The Peter / Tony reunion was good.

Oh, and we're just going to forget that Pepper Pots is super-powered on her own without armor because she has the Extremis virus running through her? (via Iron Man 3) ????

Good grief.

ALL of these movies are comic book adaptations. Marvel is a comic book company. It makes perfect sense for Marvel to pay homage (and advertise) who they are and what they do.

Two things.

1. 2015

2. Google 'A-Force'

Old news for comic book fans. Brand new, unusual, and questionable for those who aren't.

All female teams have graced the pages of X-Men comic titles for decades. Maybe Marvel will hint at those as well in the upcoming mutant films (fingers tightly crossed).

I don't mind the concept of all female teams, but these women weren't a team, at least not at this point. It was just an unnecessary and incongruous moment, as they were all fighting, and until that point they hadn't even differentiated between men and women, as fighting is concerned. So it just came off as a "This is a job for the women!" moment. It didn't ruin the movie for me, but it was the one time in the whole movie where I was disappointed in the writing, and audibly said, "Really?".

I still wanna know why Scott's daughter seemed older than she should have been. Maybe I'm confused at how much time had passed since we last saw her. I thought it was 5 years, and she didn't seem to be more than 8 or 9 then.
