I thought Thornhill was the better player, but I'm not complaining. Besides their own personal rankings, I understand why they went Hill. They know why they lost to the Rams. The D-Line was an open gate all day long, and it would happen again at some point in the playoffs if they didn't fix it.
They clearly value a stout D-Line over upgrading their safeties. Safeties are a dime a dozen because of today's fantasy football rules in the NFL. Still, when you get a stud back there, boy does it make a difference. That's what we've been hoping for, and hopefully eventually they find one. But clearly they're not interested in using a high pick on one unless they're undoubtedly in love with them. Like it or not, that appears to be the case.
