How is it homerism? For the record I’m not making the argument but there is one. Fredericks returning helps improve the depth of the offensive line, the running game, receiving group and quarterback.I don't have a complaint if you want to rank the Chiefs still over some of these other teams.
But I think it's homerism to argue that the Cowboys are definitely better offensive than any of those four teams at this point.

Jordan Howard was trash last year. They still don’t have one until proven otherwise.

To me the most important offensive stat is scoringExactly right.
22nd in yards, 22nd in points. And for most of the season, they were ranked in the bottom of the league in red zone scoring.
That's why I asked the question of how someone could be "boggled" that they're not ranked in the top 10?
A few things, one we went in to 2019 with a completely new set of receivers with the exception Bease. Second they played one quarter of football in 4 pre season games, third there was no Witt outlet and the TE's were green as alders growing along a creek. Looney was a good fill in but only that. Finally there was still Linnehan.
If the O-line returns to form and Moore can have some success early as a first year OC, I have no doubt that this offense will be top 10. If Moore doesn't have early success, it's all bets of for me
Which certainly explains his lack of 4th quarter comebacks....The answer is obvious. Dak is th reason we are not a top 10 offense. He is erratic - he does not hit receivers in stride - he misses on too many wide open deep throws. Teams stack the box to stop the run because they dare Dak to beat them and he cant consistently.
How good was he last year? Answer that .Your a very confused person if you think Jordan howard is trash as a running back
To me the most important offensive stat is scoring
That’s the only one that really matters
And we struggled bad in the redzone last year
That is one area Moore has to get fixed
The Cowboys don't have a "numbers/stats" offense. We have a ball control O, which generally means great TOP numbers, but not great stats.per nfl.com the cowboys don’t have a top 10 offense despite having a top rb, top tier wr, top tier oline and top 10 qb...boggles the mind

The offense was ranked that bad because of going scoreless in that Colts game. It's homerism because the team was the 22nd ranked offense last year (only like the 19th with Cooper) and now have an OC that has never called a game before in his life, never built a game plan himself and has one year under his belt of coaching AT ANY LEVEL.
Frederick alone isn't good enough to overcome that. I am not sure why people are surprised that in looking forward, people aren't dropping their pants in excitement over the Cowboys offense.
Maybe they will be downright awesome offensively in 2019. But right now, if one is being rational, there are some real serious questions for an offense that wasn't all that good just a year ago.
Exactly. Using stats to judge this offense is meaningless. The Cowboys don't have a "numbers/stats" offense. We have a ball control O, which generally means great TOP numbers, but not great stats.
And top 10 is meaningless. It's all about ball control and sustaining drives and getting the ball in the end zone.
The most important aspect of winning is scoring more than the other team. Scoring is far from the most important offensive stat, however. TOP, YPC, TO's, TD's per drive, those are all just as important, if not moreso. The high flying O's that use your idea get defrocked in the playoffs pretty much every year, when it comes down to ball control and sustaining drives and D.To me the most important offensive stat is scoring

Convert one more of those FG to TD and you are in the top 10. Convert 2 more and you are in the top 5

And we struggle on 3rd and longs.Dak. We struggle to score points. Teams shut zeke down and Dak can't make simple throws so we are relegated to kicking field goals. One of the best units when we are on our 20 and one of the worst when we get to their 20 yard line.
