RightVery difficult to conceptualize it otherwise.
Worth noting.
The odds are definitely against us. We are weak from the top down totally player talent dependent. We’ll go as far as they’ll take us because we can’t depend on leadership from above. In the end, it is hard to distinguish culpability vs. dysfunction in the Cowboy think tank. I'm happy they moved on from Linehan. The window of opportunity is open right now. I hope they got it right.
After 29 years , I’m wayyyyyyyy past the entertainment stage. It's a circus that PT Barnum would envy. Can't say it's boring!
Now that is the sad truth. I do like the assistants, who seem to be doing good things. The odds are definitely against us. We are weak from the top down totally player talent dependent. We’ll go as far as they’ll take us because we can’t depend on leadership from above.
Yea but they are castaways from other regimes on the most part only looking better here cause of our poor leadership. Now that is the sad truth. I do like the assistants, who seem to be doing good things.
Jerry takes it to the extreme , way further than the other owners.Right? Unlike most billionaire megalomaniac owners, ours wants things his way sometimes. It’s crazy.
There's one main reason I want Garrett gone, he can't overcome missing players. Couldn't in 2015 or Elliott missing games in 2017 and has shown he and his staff can't prepare a backup well for the starting role as in ATL.
I do not know if the next guy will be any better but I am ready for the next guy and hopefully, his own guys.
I've said the story before. Won't go there again. I dont like the dude. I hope he does well thus year. At the end of the day, I'm a Cowboy fan. If he succeeds, I'll be very happy.
It happened but seems more like the anomaly. Prescott's season was an amazing one but who should get the credit for that? It's like 2016 never happened!
Is part of that because they know his limitations as the HC? Why fear him? The only thing he can do is bench a player but that would have to come with permission. Not once have I heard anyone, fan or pundit, talk about another team being worried about coming in to Dallas and having to figure out a way to beat Garrett. Not once. They talk about having to beat the Cowboys. Shutting down Romo. Forcing Dak to win with his arm. Keeping Elliot in check. Finding a slow-motion LB to cover Witten. But I don't believe anyone comes in to our house and worries about Garrett out-coaching them.
I was a huge fan of his when he was appointed. I think he is an excellent motivator. I think his players trust him.
But no one fears him.
Possibly. I think it has more to do with his inability to present anything new or in a different manner. Couple that with an inability, or unwillingness, to adjust...he becomes incredibly predictable. Is part of that because they know his limitations as the HC? Why fear him? He's the result of his own learning and either doe not want to re-invent himself or can't. If his team can't flatten the opposition, he can't fool them. The guy came into the league playing for an OC that could tell the other team the play and they couldn't stop it but those times are gone.Possibly. 1) Penalties: Our Boys have routinely been one of the most penalized teams in the league under Garrett. A lot of the penalties have been simple mental mistakes. Good coaches find a way to correct these issues before they become bad habits. Most if you know I think Garrett sucks, and those of you that have been around for a while know my reasoning. In a nutshell, I think he's arrogant, back stabbed Wade, and has no clue how to properly manage the flow of a game and much less during crunch time. @Idgit is on the other side of the spectrum. He loves his red headed Jesus. Why? I have no clue. Where do you stand and why?
