Would appear that these stats take passes with air yards over 20 yards.People are crying that Dak's stats are inflated because Coop got YAC? Where were they defending Dak for the previous 2 years when he was throwing to YAC-less Witten? If WRs/TEs didn't get the air yards included in their stats, Witten would have averaged less than 20 yds a season for several seasons.
Probably because of his high TD rate and low INT rate. Aaron Rodgers on 20yd+ passes, QB Rating was 110.3 but had a lower completion % than Dak at 32.6%, and lower TD rate, but didn't throw any INTs.How is it possible to have a rating over 100 with a completion percentage of 35%?
Yeah he must also missing the playoffs more times than not too lol.He wants a more "pass happy" type of QB. A gunslinger... which leads to more interceptions, turnovers and pick 6s. Sounds like he still misses #9?

Good and terrible!
he is not selective. he doesn't see the field all that well although he tends to hold on to the ball too long, but that he drives the bus, he plays it safe. that's ok. no one said being a bus drivers is bad.The issue with Dak throwing downfield is not his ability to actually make the the throws, it's that he doesn't see a lot of the opportunities that are there. It's very simple. When you are that selective about downfield attempts, you're always going to have better numbers.
Look above. I posted that. Same story.looked through this and not sure what to make of it. for example he has a 90 yard completion...but 50 yards of it was YAC.....perhaps a better comparison would be air yards to completion. how far down field does he throw and what are those numbers look like.....
So why is Linehan gone then?Yep.
He's still good.
Because Linehan was bad at his job...? Highlighted by the info above. So why is Linehan gone then?
Statistical gymnastics.
Dak does see the field well. Where did you get this incorrect info from?he is not selective. he doesn't see the field all that well although he tends to hold on to the ball too long, but that he drives the bus, he plays it safe. that's ok. no one said being a bus drivers is bad.
3rd and long, even with Cooper, we were 26th in conversion rate. That has been true since Dak became starter. So why is Linehan gone then?
Statistical gymnastics.
A lot of folks think Dak is the only QB that misses recievers deep, when it's simply not true.Basically, incorrect info is being bandied about prolifically by both sides. Dak is not Joe Montana, and he's not the worst passer like ever.
Funny, you tell people this but they just can't admit it. People don't watch games except ours. So, they compare what they see from Dak in a regular game to the highlight reels of other QB's. And they just keep doing it.
A long pass is a low percentage pass, no matter who is throwing it. Yes, some are better than others, and Dak may not be the best at it. However, he's not the worst. It will be extremely interesting to see how Dak fares under a different OC. Sure hope he's better.
Completing more intermediate (10-20 yard range) passes would alleviate that issue.3rd and long, even with Cooper, we were 26th in conversion rate. That has been true since Dak became starter.
