Sean Lee is excited to play next to Smith and LVE

If Sean Lee is healthy all year long, we win the Super Bowl.

So don’t count on this happening. #1Love

Huh, I thought it was always defined by where the outside guys on offense (TE) were lining up.
It's like people that say they are going to get a "coke" when they actually drink Pepsi/Dr. Pepper etc..

Marinelli like many coaches usually calls them Will, Mike and Sam.

Some d-Coordinators call their LBs by other names

Buddy Ryan called his outside LBs Jack and Charlie in the 46 defense.

Some 3-4 DCs call their inside LBs Mike and Will but since there are only 2 of them there really isn't a "Middle" LB.

A 4-3 in Nickle only has 2 LBs which means neither is really in the "Middle" but they're generally referenced as MLB/WLB or Mike/Will.

It's all just naming conventions. The specific duties of players varies from scheme to scheme.

Mixing up the duties of defensive players is a good way to deceive offenses. If all 3 could play all 3 positions then it would be hard for QBs and blockers to make pre-snap reads.

I think we'll see some snaps with Jaylon lined up on or near the line with the option to rush the passer despite him being the Mike LB.

Let me sum this up for you.

I think Lee should’ve replaced Wilson when he was ready to play. Not replace LVE. Ever.

I’m happy they’re doing that now. It’s disappointing and I think a mistake that they didn’t do that last year after it was apparent that LVE was a very good player.

Why is this so upsetting to you?

Why do you feel the need to make personal insults?

Like try to keep up..lol and so on? I’m not being sarcastic. Does it make you feel tough? Smart? I’d really like to know why people act that way when they’re anonymous.

I'm well aware that you've been saying Lee should have replaced Wilson when he was ready to play - my discussion has been in response to that all along. And I've been saying he was only ready to play a few of games all season, and also that because of the injuries he didn't have time to even practice at the new position. You've simply ignored all that, preferring to believe, contrary to the facts, that Lee was available at full health much more than he was, and that he needed no practice time to prepare for a new position.

I apologize for the personal insult - I shouldn't have done that. You were arguing based on taking my comments out of context, which is nonsense, but I should have addressed that in a better way.

“You were simply complaining that LVE shouldn't have come off the field, not that Lee should have been playing another position” —

from you 9 posts that way^

And, it doesn't matter what the context was, right? You are fabricating an argument by ignoring that I was specifically responding to your comment about the playoff game, and by ignoring the entirety of what I wrote throughout the discussion.

Thanks you. And honestly you have lost me some so you were actually right.

All I was saying was that they should’ve played Lee last year where they plan to play him this year. When he was healthy and ready.

That is, when he came in and played for LVE he should’ve replaced Wilson. That was my first post in this thread—“couldn’t they have figured this out last year.”

The lack of practice time, adjustments, learning etc. would be handled well by Lee(IMO) and he’d have no problem making it work. You, I gather, think that Wilson was the better option due to the fact that Lee didn’t have time to prepare. I feel he was good enough to make that not matter.
