To me he's 2 or 3 million better than Kirk Cousins or Jimmy G. He's at least shown more anyway.

They got overpaid so now dak will get overpaid. Just crazy dak who is a top 15 qb will be in the top 3 paid qbs.

For sure, see how he does next year and if he does well, sign him. It’s a slight risk that he could be even more expensive based on his history and hiss very small sample size with this team I would be leery of throwing top receiver money at him after a little over half a season.
Right

And I like your plan otherwise to where we can sign Zeke next year. Don’t see how we can keep both long term.

So did you miss the part where I said I'm leaning more towards Collins and Byron Jones? Or are you the one trolling?

I don't know what this franchise will do with Zeke. If it gets to a point where Zeke is seeking 20-25 million per year.....do I think they give it to him? No, I don't. So yeah of course they want him and rightfully so. But I don't think its some sure thing and it shouldn't be. He's a running back. Why would I invest 20+ million into a running back?

By what? 1 or 2 million?
Leaning more towards...haha.
Zeke is a stone cold lock to be here. He will be the highest paid RB in the league.
Even mentioning Zeke as maybe not being resigned is completely goofy and comes across as trolling.

So in your mind the front office is battling with Zeke OR Byron Jones now?
Stop it..you’re making a fool of yourself.

I definitely wouldn’t call it a stone cold lock and to call someone a troll because they mentioned him possibly not being resigned is ridiculous. I guess you think about 30-40% of the people who post often are trolls. Go look at the Zeke is in trouble thread for a good idea.

Oh I saw that thread full of drama queens.

Zeke being resigned is a stone cold lock. Zero chance he isn’t.
You don’t use the 4th pick in the draft on a RB, have him play like the best running back every season since and just let a generational player walk away. There is zero logic or reality behind this crazy thinking.

Sorry if my approach isn’t warm and fuzzy but this is the reality.

Just like the drama queens crying all day over Dak getting resigned.

Dak and Zeke will be here for the foreseeable future folks. They will both be paid very handsomely.
No amount of crying will change it. Thems the facts.

There are other factors that make a WR productive such as RB, O line and QB. Right now I would take JJ on a 3-4 year contract over Cooper on a 5-6 year contract.
You’d be foolish to give a 4 year deal to a 30 year old as opposed to a 24 year old.

I never said they were battling with them. I’m saying they aren’t giving him 20+ million a year. It’s my opinion. Why do you care so much? Are you on Zekes payroll?

Dak will, Zeke is much more questionable in my book. Overall, you’re probably right but not only is Zeke one mess up away from being suspended again but it can be argued that a RB is much more easier replaceable than a QB.

I couldn’t care less about his rushing titles, he’s very good but the main reason he has those titles is because the O line and the amount of times he gets the ball. It can also be easily argued that in most cases, a RB will not be able to keep up that workload the older he gets therefore signing him to a long term contract is very risky. Limit his carries and all of the sudden you won’t be able to use the rushing title excuse anymore because he won’t have it.

Some fans act like we have an endless supply of salary cap space, how quickly they forget the mess we just recently got out of. We have a lot of other up and coming guys, specifically Jaylon and LVE to think about, plus the occasional free agent. It’s a ways down the road and even though the salary cap keeps going up it’s not like we can continue to pay our best players the best money for that position and personally I would put RB towards the bottm of the list.

We can easily use the 5th year option on him than tag him. See how he’s doing at that point and fo from there. In all likelihood his value will be less than it is now and we can get a cheaper contract with less years, assuming he’s still worth it. If he wants to be a little diva about it and sit out like Bell, go for it. I’m sure the fans would love that and continue to support him like they down now. BTW, Bell was an idiot and came out behind after doing that even though he still tries to justify his decision.

Edit: Why were they drama queens? Because while most didn’t see the act itself as a big deal they realize he’s already been warned by the NFL that he’s on a tight leash and they can suspend him over anything? Or the fact that he ignores this and continues to do dumb things in public which puts him at risk thus putting his teammates, fans and organization at risk? I’d call that concerned fans who have a grip on reality, not drama queens.

In 3 years his contract will be top 15 too.

Nah it wont be that far but top ten. Hopefully he'll be top 10 besides 10 by default because better ones than him retired by then

I think he can be top 10. If not that contract will be bad.

Which is why I said 3-4 vs 5-6 and it would obviously depend on how easily they could get out of the 4th year.

Not wrong but ok. Daks top 15 about to get paid like top 3.

Yes he is top 15.
At his worst he’s shown he’s still better than half the leagues starters. At best he operates amongst the very top ranks. That’s a great ceiling/floor combo.

You do pay athletes based on the past and more so what you think theyll do in the future. I'm ok with taking that shot with him..just wish so many QBs didnt get so overpaid before.
