Some NFL players would be better in the long run with a contract like that. Amazing how many of them end up broke.
Tell me about it.

You ended up broke after the NFL?Tell me about it.
Without the Cowboys win/loss record Aikman wouldn’t be in the Hall of Fame - not even close. I’m not saying Dak is as good as Aikman, but winning is the goal, and it does matter.Because without the . . . "COWBOYS" WIN/LOSS Record . . . Dak is Painfully Average
If he keeps running like he does it's just a matter of time.I understand the premise of his argument but his opinions dont change the fact; All QB's have a win/loss record on their stat sheets.
We will never know how important Dak is, to the success of this team, until he misses a couple of games.
It's too late I have Jeff Heath penciled in for winning that game in Oakland. It's not a great stat to judge a QB by, which is his point. I mean, Prescott gets credit for a "win" against Oakland in 2017 and yet he played horridly, I mean like bottom of the NFL backup type QBing in that game. In what world should we judge that performance as strong because he was lucky enough to log a win that day?
Further, Prescott fans only like to use wins when it suits their purpose. For example, they love citing wins and losses now and attribute that to him, but in 2017, they didn't want to apply win/loss records to him then............. instead it was "well he doesn't have Zeke, and his WRs aren't good and his OL was poor, blah, blah, blah................"
Wentz didn't shatter the qb market with his deal. He could have conceivably held out and topped Wilson, Rodgers and Worthlisberger's deals, but he didn't. So that's good for our 'Boys.Wentz deal probably clarifies Dak’s deal and make it easier as it helps to set the market. It was a couple million/year less than I thought it would be, too, though they guaranteed him more than I thought they would. I don’t think it ends up being a roadblock for Dak, either way. The Cowboys are just taking their time, like they always do with these things.
It's not really 25 per year. It's 32 per year on the new money.
If he had been a free agent that was franchised this year and then signed this contract, it would be about 32M per.
Example:
Jan 2016: You sign a lease for office space at $5K per month on a 4 year contract.
Jan 2018: You extend your lease for an additional 4 years at market rate of $10K per month.
2016 $5K
2017 $5K
2018 $5K
2019 $5K
2020 $10K
2021 $10K
2022 $10K
2023 $10K
If you looked at other office space prior to signing the extension, the comparison rate for 2020-2023 is $10K. It's NOT $7.5K or $8.33K.
This Post gets a Face Palm . . . Weak and a little Pathetic
This man watched his team win a Super Bowl a couple years ago. . . Which was a result of all the Right Moves that Front Office made
Meanwhile the COWBOYS. . . Not so much. . . Jerry publicly berated And Ran off Jimmy Johnson . . . Then when Jerry had the ULTIMATE WEAPON in Zeke in 2016. . . He decided to Ride with the Inaccurate Inexperienced "ROOKIE . . . Genius !!! . . . Pure Genius
Yeah As Far as TRUST GOES . . . I put Mine In McClay only . . . But as far as OutSmarting Jerry I give the Edge to Philly
The deal is basically a 25 mil per year deal over the next 6 seasons, as I see it. The guaranteed portion of this deal is 107 million and not 128 million. You can call it what you want but that's what it is. The lease thing is all well and good but it doesn't change the bottom line of this contract X.
For comparison purposes to other contracts it's 32M per.
The only purpose for fans/media to know the contract average is for comparison to other players/teams. The 25M number is meaningless for that purpose.

WHat the hell you talking about? He hasn’t run that much at all so far.If he keeps running like he does it's just a matter of time.
It doesn’t surprise me the number of arguments around Wentz’s contract to try and trash Dak and the Cowboys. The deal is basically a 25 mil per year deal over the next 6 seasons, as I see it. Even if he did, what does THAT matter? Except to “fans” like yourself who don’t count.Howie Roseman basically called out Stephen on this deal.
