I can understand if he is doing it next year but this is ridiculous. .

I agree 100% but I'm not sure it's a hold out demanding a new deal before I report type. I'm sure Zeke and his peoples understand the logic of getting Dak and/or Coop lockdown. Just me, and of course I could totally wrong but my guess is he's going hold out a few days or so send a warning message to Stephen. Notice Stephen and Jerry chose their words real careful as not to piss off a hornet nest (lol).

Point is that the Joneses bring it on themselves with their stupidity and many of these stories are true: Dak does want 32-34 mill/year, Zeke is holding out to be paid, Cooper does want elite money and on and on

Stop blaming the media and blame the people responsible, the moron Joneses, incompetent jellyfish Garrett and the entitled players who’ve achieved nothing
lol , you got em all !
Jones boys:flagwave: are only good at making money, the entitled players want more money than what they need or is realistic. and JG he just wants to keep making
the 6 mil a year

Here’s where I lose a bit of respect for Zeke :.. he signed a very lucrative rookie contract , he was given 16 million in his rookie year ... he is signed for two more years , he knows Dak is due now for an extension , yet he showed up , Coop is due and he showed up .. I know each player can deal in their own way but this guy has been a distraction for silly stuff since day one .. he is a helluva player at most times but you have to question his loyalty to his teammates .. again I get it, it’s a business but man Zeke .. show some respect to your teammates who are there and be there ... you do your job ... keep your nose clean and the $$$ will come ..
lol goodell did not suspend him so he decided to hold out for the distraction effect!
If I were jerry, I would now work on signing the 2 who showed up at TC and deal with big E later........much later

Men honor contracts. Men don’t carry purses. Men don’t act like teenagers. Men don’t bully people.

Zeke is far from a man, he has a lot of growing up to do.

“Men” typically don’t mature till their 30...

He understands the rb position is a use 'em up and spit 'em out position. So he trying to maximize what he can get out of it. What if he were to suffer a serious or even career ending injury this year. His value would disappear.

It is a great and much needed move by Zeke and his agent. The market value for RBs in the league is not commensurate to their contribution. Zeke knows the offense is changing....
Stephen Jones is always polite when he has maximum leverage. Zeke doesn't play in preseason, he'll get fined for missing practice and Franchise Tag in 2020.

I love Zeke but personally I don't want Cowboys giving Elliot long term contract. He's one incident away from missing a season.

He'll show, or he'll he won't. Call him, fine him as much as possible, and if he's willing to forego an accrued season then more power to him. There are too many other big contracts on the horizon to let Zeke dictate the outcome.

This is true for pretty much any 1st round rookie who is successful early.

Pollard has been gifted the best opportunity one can get to run behind this stacked OL. A dream come true.
I would like to see that, if Bellichek were HC here with same power what would he do about elliot??
I think he would go to his next guy and let elliot sit on bench or hold out,or trade him for some good draft picks.

Too bad Gregory is suspended, or he could hold out with elliot for early extension!

It was the Jones’s fault, they threw around the phrase “Gurley money” when they didn’t have to say anything.
I'm not going to class myself as an expert on anything contract-negotiation-wise, but what exactly the mother F was Stephen thinking and/or doing with that soundbite?

It's called placating. A sound strategy. No sense ruffling feathers. We've seen how that works.

What the heck man dang!!
First Dak must get his 33 million a year deal then Coop and lets run Zeke to the Ground (as its pretty evident by now that Dak cant move the offense without him) for the next 2 years and then when his body is worn out do a Murray on him....

LOL...ya seems Zeke and his Agent don't play STUPID!!!!

PAY THE MAN simply because without him our offense is GARBAGE!!!

It just seems a shame that Zeke can't wait his turn for his extension, especially since he has a considerable amount of time left on his current contract. Nevertheless, it's mainly between himself and the FO, so I'm not inclined to panic just yet. It's still early and I fully expect he'll report to camp before this thing gets absurdly out of hand. If not, he deserves to take his lumps for putting himself above the rest of the team. Just another poor decision on his part.
