And this is why we need a new QB

I'm just saying it contradicts the hyperbole of "major regression". That was literally my only point. Players that are majorly regressing get benched, not selected to play in pro bowls.

Prescott's passer rating is lower in year three than it was in year one. Year two was lower than both. He's not exactly progressing.

Citing the Pro Bowl as an achievement when you were the sixth choice for the position in a 16 person pool is somewhat silly.

2012 vs the Commanders immediately comes to mind. When that article was written Romo was 0 for 3 in must win games to advance to the playoffs. I'll do my due dilligence though, and document them per your request because I know the truth pisses the Romo nut huggers off around here.

The only agenda are the Romosexuals who want to treat #9 like he was elite. It's disrespectful to quarterbacks who didn't fold in late season games and actually led their teams to more than two playoff wins.
You’re do that and 0-3 at that point wasn’t because of Romos interceptions.

Not calling it an achievement. How bout don't put words in my mouth. If Dak majorly regressed, he wouldn't still be the starter right now. That's a fact .

Do you think that he has progressed as a QB?

And, if you didn't think that the Pro Bowl was an achievement, why on earth would you even mention it? Sixth choice out of 16 is not a selling point.

I've seen the great Romo overthrow a RB 10 feet away...….should have cut him.

Honestly, we'll miss some of you when Dak is looking superstar...in a few short weeks.

News flash Romo isn’t here he’s retired why do you guys insist on still being him up? It’s been almost 4 seasons now.

This is one of those times when I wish Boise, Idaho had an NFL franchise.

You know what else I wish for? People to let Romo go. Knocking him when he hasn’t been here in over 3 seasons to prop up a player is just silly. Using him to tear a player down now is just as silly...

Romo sinking the whole team 2012 when we needed him most. 3 ints... ALL his fault. NEVER FORGET.

Hear Collinsworth's remark? He believes Romo was tricked by the defensive lineman/scheme. But Romo is supposedly supposed to be some defense reading genius that can do no wrong in that area. Not this time, which is why I think some put too much stock in Romo's ability to read defenses. Its a required asset for any NFL QB, no doubt; but if ego and complacency get in the way, can be a QB's undoing. I think Romo and his fanbase have excessive pride in his abilty to read defensive schemes, but now he's forced to fantasize about all the 'woulda, shoulda, coulda' scenarios while discussing other team's schemes from the press box.

It's Romo's acolyte's who are a problem. As soon as they stop trying to bolster him up as anything more than a regular season stat QB, the sooner it all dies down and we move away from him as a serious topic.

IDK maybe he was the previous starting QB for the Dallas Cowboys.
Point being, every NFL starting QB makes bonehead throws
Comprende?

Realistically, the job of picking up a blitz is not to stonewall the blitzer. The job is to delay the blitz long enough to get the ball off or escape the pocket. Pollard did neither and if it were a real game and not a scrimmage, Dak would not have gotten that ball off. He would have been on his back. Pollard absolutely did not get the job done. We can not be referring to the same play here. BB actually broke it down a few days ago on his review.

Did you see the play?

Are you referring to slide 3 in this Scouts Eye from Broaddus?

Another example where he is late w/ his throw.... And it cost us points. Sadly I don't think that was a catch because...WR ran out of room to make the catch and was bobbling the ball. No possession. No TD. :(

The WR has his hands on the ball at the front of the endzone.

He gets it into both hands and then holds it out with one hand before he crosses the back of the endzone.

In all fairness, I'm in my 50s and I can go outside right now and lob the ball 40 yards, downfield and get it closer then what I saw on that replay. I'm not saying I'm a great QB but honestly, he missed by a significant margin. I know I could go outside right now, and come closer then that. Now, I couldn't play QB for the Dallas Cowboys and Dak can so yeah, there is that for sure. I just don't get how Dak can be so good at certain things and yet, he can't hit a wide open play like that, not even get close. It's weird.

Exactly...

Yet....some people are gonna defend this until time ends...or the apocalypse.

It's not comparing. It's pointing out the absurdity of judging one pass (particularly in practice). Quite frankly, I'd rather Dak miss a wide open rookie RB (who turned his head too soon looking for the ball, which slowed him down - just ask Amari who commented on that last season) than miss a wide open RB in the AFC Champ game, then take a sack on the next play getting them out of FG range in a game the Chiefs LOST BY THREE POINTS. But make no mistake, I think Mahomes is better.
Dak’s missed this pass consistently since high school.

You must be in a straightjacket if you agonize this much over every time a QB misses an open receiver. This isn't remotely the mind boggling event that you make it out to be.

But, on the plus side, you would fit in nicely with the group of girls at the local Jr. High School down the street who just can't believe that Brandi is actually going out with that weird guy from 4th period. OMG! What is she thinking!

Actually it is a big deal....or this thread wouldn't be 14 pages by now....Sadly it got moved to another forum because a Dak supporter couldn't handle the truth. So be it.
