And this is why we need a new QB

How on earth can a guy miss this throw???? Like I've been saying...they guy literally couldn't hit water from a boat. No pressure what so ever....and he misses Pollard by 5 yards. Just inexcusable. And definately not worth 30 million.

We may (or may not) eventually find out we do need another QB, but one video of one throw doesn't prove that. It's laughable to suggest other QBs, even the best ever, never missed an open receiver.

It's a throw that should absolutely be made, but a total over reaction a week into camp. Every QB misses throws, especially to rookie RBs who likely have only ran that route a couple of times, if at all. That one throw shouldn't have any bearing on formulating an opinion.

He has never looked great in practice. It’s practice. He misses one pass and he sucks.

Did you see Pat Mahomes do the exact same thing (to an even more wide open RB) in the AFC champ game? Then take a sack on the next play putting them out of FG range?

I could buy into that...but it's videos like this that show you...he is what he is....and these demands for 30 million a year are just absurd.

This isn't "videos", it's a video, and its one play. We have no idea if this kind of throw is what Dak has been doing regularly in training camp, or if it was just an anomaly.

What about all the other passes on the dime? You take 1 pass out of all and spew out your hateful agenda. So sad.

Actually it would be his 11th practice...but who's counting. I'd put money on it right now....I could make that throw from my couch with more accuracy. Seriously....I might have to make a video to prove it.
Thanks for this thread. It’s identifying fans who are objective and therefore know what they’re talking about and the ones that don’t such as yourself.

I would agree....but this isn't just something that is random. We've seen it over and over. It's been a focus all off season...yet here we are...and it's still happening. Let's put it this way....If he was just missing passes...incompletions... It would be one thing. But we are talking about passes that should be scores. We are talking about taking points off the board. And here is an analogy to prove my point even further...

How long do you hang on to a kicker that starts shanking kicks and costing you points??? In Dallas' case...w/ Dan Bailey...not very long. So why should Dak be any different? Especially considering how much money he's asking for. If your gonna pay that amount of money...that guy better not have a case of the yipps or shanks.

Get my point?
You’re obviously trolling. No one can be this dense.

I get the aggravation. A couple years ago, it was nobody can get open. Now, every skill position has been "upgraded" and there's still that inability to hit that wide open receiver in stride. When the issue keeps repeating, it stands out more. It's a relative easy throw to make.
I guess you didn’t watch last season when they went 8-1 down the stretch and Dak made the pro bowl

Did you watch the chiefs Patriots playoff game last season. Mahomes missed the same pass 3 times,

This is practice with no pressure...I imagine in a game....It's either gonna be 10 yards over thrown or 5 yards under thrown...there is just no explaining why he is missing so bad.

Floaty worships Mahomes. He'll never criticize Mahomes. But when it comes to Dak, he thrives on any opportunity to bash him. Does that sound like a Cowboys fan?

Obviously you weren't around during the draft when he came out....I thought Mahomes was gonna be a turnover machine with his poor decision making. Still do actually..now that teams have tape on him. If you watch KC...He makes some wild throws that you just don't teach....and he's been getting away with it. Not gonna shock me @ all when teams pick up on his tendancies...and he starts turning the ball over.

Sorry to break the news to you but he hasn't looked good the last 2 seasons.....Major regression since his rookie year!

Gallup saw that same throw last season.

But the Daksters will tell you Pollard was too slow.
Vander Esch put him on skates the other day in practice, against the blitz pick up. I agree, it's encouraging to see Pollard beat guys off the line like that but he won't see the field if he can't pick up a blitz.

And for the record, I agree with a lot of posters, Dak's pass was horrible. I don't get it either and yes X, I know I am clueless. It's just hard to ignore that.

I'll reply in this thread...

The throw in practice to Pollard was a bad throw. No excuses for Dak on that.

Dak did miss Gallup during the season;
- however, on some of those Gallup did things other than just run a straight go route without delay.
- Gallup had a tendency to stutter step mid-route attempting to get the CB to bite-up.
- On others he made lateral moves which also slowed him down relative to a straight go route.

I saw Zack Martin have trouble with an open field block on Vander Esch.
- Vander Esch is a freak and all RBs are going to have some issues blocking him.
- Dak got the pass off despite Vander Esch blowing up Pollard.
- Pollard blocked often in college.
- His blocks were often ugly but he got the job done.

Embarrassing...

Let him play out the season so he gets exposed and the price comes down.

Ignore the bad pass, that's expected. What should not be happening at this point is Dak waiting for the receiver to be fully cleared of any defender before the ball comes out. He's still waiting 2 seconds after the receiver is open to actually throw the ball...and it's even worse because Dak already knows what's going to happen with no pressure from the defense.

I love you...finally someone that actually gets "It"!!! I was gonna say the same thing....but then I would have been bashed for piling on Dak. But your right...in that first clip...he's late w/ that throw. ;)
