Teams pay the contract to a T."Man honors his contract"
Fans should have that same energy when teams cut players midway through their contract... lol

To be fair most people who get cut either refuse a paycut or cannot physically perform."Man honors his contract"

That is the one positive thing that could come out of all of this.As long as Dallas has a halfway decent RB I really don't care what Zeke does. I'm really not hoping one way or the other. Because if this team collapses without him, they have more problems than just paying Zeke. Outside of that I see a positive to both sides of this. If he plays, great. If he holds out we'll get to see how well Dak does without the beast in the backfield. We'll get to see the individual value of both players.
If a player gets cut, he still has the guaranteed portion of his contract to receive."Man honors his contract"

What is up with the angry emojis, Zeke? Holds out for his own selfish reasons, plus refuses to be happy for some good running by Mike Weber who also happens to be a Buckeye alumni of Zeke's.
That and he's likely starting to feel the heat a little. If the rookie RBs shine this preseason, it definitely will hurt Zeke.I know. Was expecting Mike to run into a pile of his own choosing, and after watching the clip got the impression Zeke is feeling a little jealous.
I know you unseasoned posters are a little out of touch with emojis but that tweet was Zeke giving the guy props.I know. Was expecting Mike to run into a pile of his own choosing, and after watching the clip got the impression Zeke is feeling a little jealous.
He's under contract and has no leverage, he'll be there for week one....still has almost 14 million due for the next two seasons...if they want to win any thing this season they better pay the man
Not only that in Zeke's case all 4 years of his 1st round contract are fully guaranteed and even with an extension he'd get at least another 2 years fully guranteed as well. That's minimum 6 years guaranteed pay....... (he's not some 9-5 guy wondering if he's gonna have a job every week lets be real)If a player gets cut, he still has the guaranteed portion of his contract to receive.
Not every player has guaranteed money and it's never the equivalent of the contract value. Just saying folks shouldn't be so absolute "Man honoring contracts" when owners don't.If a player gets cut, he still has the guaranteed portion of his contract to receive.

That is fair...somewhat. Why should a player take a paycut when again, "man should honor his contract" You see where I'm going with that?To be fair most people who get cut either refuse a paycut or cannot physically perform.
If I can't perform at my job i'll get fired and cut just like literally 99% of the real world (millionaire athletes don't get exemptions from the real world).
Let them carry onEek! I just saw all the replies to the tweet.
Those emojis are actually Zeke giving Weber kudos, saying he’s a stud.

Well that's good to know. I didn't think Zeke was even that stupid to diss a teammate like that.Eek! I just saw all the replies to the tweet.

I would understand if this were Zeke's last year under contract, but he's still under contract for 2 more years. Jerry has always taken good care of his playmakers. Not every player has guaranteed money and it's never the equivalent of the contract value.
