When it comes to what's been offered and what's been countered, trust no one. Believe no one. The truth is out there, but not even Mulder can find it until it's revealed.

So wait.

This report is spot on. The other isn’t.

How do we know PFT isn’t the one wrong? I mean people ripped PFT when they reported other things.

Does it really matter? It's all negotiations, including perhaps the leaks themselves. I don't see anything to get worked up about. Dak wants to be here, the Jones' want him here. It'll get done, probably before the start of the season. No point in any of this incessant hand wringing.

Not really. Asking for about $33 million a season as opposed to $40 million means Dak's new contract will be about $42 million cheaper overall assuming he gets a six year deal.
Still too much for his talent level. Should be in mid 20 million range.

Didn't Jane come out several times and say that she expected Zeke to be in camp and even on the plane? Now she's pushing a $40 million rumor?

Sounds like she's replaced Ed Werder as the "make up stuff and hope it sticks" Cowboys reporter. Oh, and I see that Ed's back at ESPN. Goody.

....throw in the fact that she's a fake blond. She probably feels that her and Schefter are the first ones to spill the beans. Hers, well, ...the cowboys.

That's the problem for many fans........mid-tier, top-tier or whatever has nothing to will paying your starting QB today if you think he's your long-term answer
That's what I'm saying, let other teams set his market value... I'm willing to bet there's not another team in this league willing to give him a contract paying over 30m a year and if there is then take the 1st and run. He should be happy with the deal Fowels got! We could get the same production he's produced with Keenum or Colt McCoy!

Charean Williams has better sources. I believe her account.
I thought she was also the one that broke the initial "news" that stated that Dak was seeking $40M...

Because both PFT, the DMN and local talk radio are refuting the claim he asked for $40 million.

A lot of very plugged in people, including those locally, are calling BS.

Slater didn't make this up.

Sounds like agent damage control.

Well she was wrong about Zeke being on the team plane to Oxnard a couple of weeks ago.

Florio and PFT got it right.

I trust PFT more than Slater.

Because it is being backed up by ESPN, USATODAY, and about 1/2 dozen other reporters...

As opposed to ONE reporter?
