I would gladly put Dak in the top 10 if he was a top-10 quarterback, and I wouldn't give a rip about what his stats were.

Aikman was, and his numbers didn't compare to others.
You're missing my point. You said stats only tell 10% of the story as if Dak's stats are top 10 or something. Dak's value isn't in stats. I'm not even sure if you remember what you were arguing.

just what we need-a guy that will burst into tears if things dont go well. We could also bring in Vermeil to replace Garrett. After losses we could then take bets on who will cry first in the press conference

What do you guys think? Personally i'd rather have Carr, i think he can thrive in the right offense. Much like Amari, i think things have gone stale for him in Oakland and he needs a fresh start. Imagine this offense with a QB who can actually put the ball in the right place and not make receivers have to adjust when they are open. We can actually have potential 35 yard gains be 35 yards and not 18-20 yarders because the ball wasnt put in the right place...
Carr wont be a free agent until 2023.

Honest answer?...…………...Its dumb. Dak is already better than Carr and he is only been in the league 3 years. Intangibles are off the charts with Dak. I actually like Carr as a good QB.

I get that but if you want to use that argument fine but don't start it off with"

If stats are so telling, then why does literally nobody put Dak anywhere near the top 10 in the league."

That doesn't describe Dak at all.

Regardless of what you think of Dak, the bolded part isn't even remotely true. Almost all NFL backups are absolute and total trash.

And Cooper's stats blew up the second he had Dak throwing to him instead of Carr. Carr looks more like a "traditional" QB than Dak (read that however you want), but Carr's not, you know, particularly good at it.

Code:
Year Age Tm GS Rec Yds Y/R TD Lng R/G Y/G Y/Tgt
2018*    24 2TM   15   75 1005 13.4    7   90  5.0 67.0   9.4
*           DAL    9   53  725 13.7    6   90  5.9 80.6   9.5
*           OAK    6   22  280 12.7    1   36  3.7 46.7   9.0
Carr got Cooper into two pro bowls. Cooper wanted out of Oakland and tanked until he was traded. C'mon man!!!! This is real life, not fantasy football. You ever been in a locker room???

I was responding to a post that was making a statistical case for Dak. I'm not sure you read that post.

Dak > Carr.

The only way the Raiders let Carr walk, is if he plays poorly. If he plays poorly, why would you want to sign him?

If Carr plays well, the Raiders will keep him. If they somehow don’t decide to keep him but he plays well, then Carr won’t come any significantly cheaper than Dak anyway.

So really targeting Carr is absolutely pointless.

Why is anyone even debating Dak v Carr? Neither of them cracked the "top 100" list, the end-all-be-all of player debates.

Kirk Cousins came in at 78th overall (and 13th best QB), though. Maybe Dallas should go after HIM? :rolleyes:

Why do you try to reason with trolls?
