Emotions are starting to become involved in this negotiation .
It was a bad call by zeke's agent .

Yes, let him play for the MFL, the Mexican Football League. (Does it exist?) Sick of his crap.
We might make the playoffs, unless Pollard is healthy and becomes our James Connor.Let him sit all season.
Would Zeke qualify for “hold out after fewest games played?”Aaron Donald held out after 3 seasons in the NFL...

I haven't seen anything that the offer was Gurley money. I seen it was closer to bell money though.
Chris Johnson held out after 3 years.
Lol at OP criticizing Zeke and not having the facts straightAaron Donald held out after 3 seasons in the NFL...
Two sides to every story. Don’t draft a player 4th overall, esp RB and not expect to pay him for what you projected him to be!I have defended Zeke on this board, argued he is the best RB back in the league, argued that he cant just be replaced by a rookie, and even agreed that he needed to be paid "Gurley money".
However, this latest stunt of going back to Cabo after coming back to Dallas for a single day, and claiming that he is disrespected by Jerry, is just enough. Its obvious that Zeke cares about nobody and nothing but $$$$$$$$$$$$.
Look, I have been one of Jerry's biggest critics on this board, but the man bent over backwards to help Zeke out. Went to war with the Commish, had to repay the league millions of dollars out of his own pocket to cover their legal bills, and probably affected the officiating we got on the field (9 games without a hold call ring a bell). And this is how Zeke repays Jerry for going to bat for him? Hold out, fly to Cabo, issue demands left and right, and then get butt hurt over a joke.
That's it fellas, I'm done with the POS...…..trade his arse to Buffalo or some other NFL wasteland.

The only emotions being flung to and fro is by fans, honestly. All of this stuff from Zeke's camp is carefully crafted and calculated and fans are buying it hook, line, and sinker at face value because they want to believe something negative about a player negotiating a contract.
Let’s assume Garrett suks. Now what should we surround him with. Maybe an Elite QB or defense?
how can they calculate for a drunk jerrah ?
I mean, those are some impressive calculations !
That has nothing to do with my post. Someone said they offered him Gurley money. I responded "I thought they offered top 5? Isn't Gurley 1st?" That was all about contract numbers. So what are you talking about?ever? Nah get your fats straight..im better more have and I believe they extended Gurley with-out hesitation after year 3??He didnt need too..
our own Emmitt smith did it his rookie season didnt sign his first deal, Ie hold out again after 3 years better do your research and this will happen again..he wouldn't have had to holdout if they game him more when he asked..The rumor is he let the FO know he was thinking of holding out and gave them his number in January..that was before the draft and why do you think they took Pollard and webber, as just in case..they knew it could happen.. so, read Rumor's in public hey SJ stated we should start Zekes negotiation at Gurley money, that hasn't happened..
Yes, even with Zeke, Cooper, and Dak last year we still had a mediocre offense. I understand Coop wasn’t there the first 6 games, we had a different OC and we didn’t have Fred but we still had a lot of good pieces and there and weren’t that great. Are you suggesting we should focus on the other scenario of building an Elite defense ?
Perhaps that should be our focus without an Elite QB?

I love "Emmit speak" LOL I think Zeke would have had more leverage next year IMO.THIS IS WHAT EMITT SMITH THINKS:
“I think the Cowboys should pay him,” Emmit Smith told Voice of the Fans’ Cameron Buford.
Smith added more context on Elliott via a transcription provided by sports and entertainment journalist, Landon Buford.
“I think if you look at the scheme of things where things are today, leverage is the most important thing that we all have,” said Smith.
“You lose leverage, you lose opportunity. The Cowboys have leverage, they are going to lessen your opportunity. So, you have to strike while the iron is hot. There are so many options that the Cowboys have that he doesn’t have. Everyone in the world wants to talk about what he should do because they are not in his position. As a former player when are in that position when you have leverage you need to take advantage of the opportunity. I think people are going to test how far he is willing to go like they did with Le’Veon Bell. How far are you willing to go.”

They already offered him Gurley money and he said no...………….he is demanding to be the highest paid RB in the history of the NFL and unless we meet his demands, he is going to move to Cabo?
And I shall also point out that Zeke is the first player to hold out after just three seasons in the league...……..nobody has ever done this before.
