Saturday Morning Cartoons

I watched them sometimes as a kid. Though not religiously.

What I watched religiously was Kung ** Theater on Sunday mornings!

EDIT: lol, really? That gets redacted out?

and I am every so very glad those kung fuuu movies did show on the weekends ( and very late at weekday nights with the Shaw Brothers films) because there were quite a few of them
that I really loved that I would have never known existed (such as the Billy Chong ones.. ala " Kung-Fuu Executioner" and " Hard way to Die" -aka Sun Dragon)

Land of the Lost
Flintstones

I did love those cheesy Godzilla marathons too.

you're right it was Commander McBragg - not Colonel McBragg as I said it. .. and yes that was a very short clip they showed at the end of Underdog episode.
There was also a Peguin and Walrus toon that showed which was a part of that Gamma/Leonardo television production, but I forget what it was called.
I got a kick outta the clever rhyming words of Under Dog.

me, too - Definitely luuved and grew up on all the Godzilla movies flicks -they were also always my afterschool delights.. and late night skillet popcorn time !

Sorry, I didn't see that you'd mentioned it, and I wasn't correcting you about Commander McBragg. lol ....and you're thinking of Tennessee Tuxedo and Chumly (not sure of the spelling). Either Don Adams (Maxwell Smart) did Tennessee Tuxedo's voice, or it was someone imitating him.

yeh, Saturday was the very best time to get all the kids together, get their full attention,.. just so they can start and finish their chores.
Once my mom turned off the television, I knew the Saturday show was over and the chores was for sure... (sigh) lol

interesting that only the Smurfs and Thunder Cats are the only ones on your list that hasn't been made into a live action film ...(yet ?)

Yep, Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Yosemite Sam, Sylvester, Roadrunner, Wile E. Coyote and of course, my personal favorite, Faghorn Leghorn. Those were the good old say Brother. I see cartoons today and I fear for these young kids. They are horrible, seriously.
