Dak was beating the defense by throwing. You don't think the 20 some points on the board got there by themselves do you and the defense surely didn't score.

Most of those points came from the defense letting off after they thought they had the game won. 20 some points is not a sign of a good offense and it takes more scoring to beat a good offensive team like the Rams.

Need 3 years before the rules of the CBA says you can renegotiate your contract. So Zeke is within the rules given.
So LVE has to play this year and next.
Dak had to play last year. But he knows he needs a prove it year which is why he is not holding out, as Zeke already has proved it.
If Dak does not get a new deal, then he must have a great year to get what he thinks he deserves. If he held out, it would be worse for him.

Yes, I just realized the CBA allows rookies to renegotiate their contracts after their 3rd season played. Dak has played 3 full seasons. Zeke has not and likely will miss more time in the near future due to his off-the-field partying and bone-headed decisions.

Dak has finished with 2 Pro Bowl births out of the last 3 years, has led the team to 2 NFC East Conference titles over the past 3 seasons thus securing 2 playoff births, has led the team to the 2nd highest win total in the league the last 3 years, was Rookie of the Year in 2016, had the 2nd most 4th quarter comeback wins in 2018 and most the last 3 seasons combined, led the league in "tight window" throws 2 out of his last 3 years, Dak Prescott is the first player in NFL history with 20+ pass TD and 5+ rush TD in each of his first 3 seasons while Prescott was also the only player in NFL history to do so in each of his first 2 seasons, Dak also had the highest QBR out of all QBs who played in the 2018 playoffs while also securing top 10 QBR and passer rating 2 out of his last 3 seasons, Dak has shown up and played very well in every playoff game he has played in while Zeke has not, etc, etc, etc.

In other words, Dak has more than proved and earned a top 5 QB new contract. Let's get that clear already. It's just a matter of how much. Plus, Dak continues to be here day in and day out practicing with his team, while Zeke is out pouting while drinking margaritas during his inexcusable hold out.

Broaddus and several other analysts made the point that WRs were open in a lot of cases but it would require passes into tight windows. In some cases, Dak never looked their way when they was open. If you remember, Hearns showed that the WRs was open in many cases, but Dak was too timid to try and get the ball to them.

I never said Zeke was the only problem in the Rams playoff game. The defense sucked, royally, but Zeke didn't show up either, yet he wants to be the highest paid RB in the league? lol

Like if this contract has $30MM in guarantees, that's not exactly a huge win considering Bell's is $27MM whereas Gurley has a whopping $45MM.

I think the income taxes are more complicated than that. Each State has a different rate. When the player plays in that state for a game, they owe taxes on their game check.

But Rockport is easily the dullest knife here. It's not surprising he has nary a grasp of how income taxes work for a NFL player.

For example, while Texas has no state income tax, a Cowboys player has to pay income taxes for his time in Oxnard (high tax state) as well as any state in which he plays a game.

Disagree. Lack of your best player would cost you a season. If Zeke holds out, the team can still win games with the current group of RBs. If Dak were to hold out, the season is finished. Everyone knows that.

Zeke's leverage was Dak wasn't good enough to ensure the post-season without him. Apparently, the Jones boys dont want to take the chance. Dak's leverage is that he may not be Brady, but the Jones risk the absolute QB wilderness of the post-Aikman, pre-Romo years if they dont lock him up. Dak controls his own destiny now.
