Of course they can. Some opinions are downright idiotic. I think what we’re seeing is this particular opinion is being shared with a decent amount a people....hence the active thread

But you said earlier opinions aren't right or wrong. But now you just admitted some opinions can be right or wrong.

> opinions aren't wrong
> Yeah, some are idiotic

I think you are confusing holding opinions with wrong opinions. We are discussing the latter.

There was ZERO indication he would miss games. NONE......and I even showed you where it was said he was scheduled to play week 1.

Luck quit on his team and the fans because he couldnt handle a little pain?

He should have retired in the offseason if he was goning to quit the first little injury he had.

Wrong and someone already provided a link he wouldn't start week 1.

You have to be absolutely out of your mind that you believe a man retiring over a recent injury believed he could start week one without being severely hampered.

And this wasn't a "little injury" - that's what I am trying to tell you. Everything else was spin, the injury was a lot more severe than reports were letting on - you don't discuss retirement with your team over a stubbed toe.

He up and quit out of nowhere because of an ankle sprain. Nothing can change those facts.

But why??????? On the surface, it's like he went from excited about the season a few weeks ago to mentally/emotionally broken over what appeared to a recovery injury.

Luck is a quitter. He came in the league made his money. His wife is pregnant with their first kid. So he's like meh I don't have to work anymore. Good for him. But he's still a quitter and it doesn't surprise me. He's never shown the fire, emotion, or any swag that he loves the game.

I would take the 25 million in bonuses back. They're hoping he comes back, he probably won't. He quit the game, it's not debatable.

Again, he came back and played after having his kidney torn and his stomach muscle ripped. He went through years of rehab and then surgery on his shoulder. He actually played through busted ribs.

In what world does a guy who lacks fire and the desire to play the game do that?
Look at these lies. He never played again that 2015 season after lacerating his kidney. No one knows when he actually played with torn cartilage in his ribs. It was reported in the 2016 offseason that he played with it during the 2015 season. The guy has no competitive drive. It's pretty obvious.

Love ya H, but this is the dumbest post in the history of this board.

Luck has been fighting this for years.

I think he might come back one day, but not until he can train without pain for an extended period of time.

He did quit football. We can debate whether it was justified or not but he did quit the game

LOL yes, winning the comeback player award means he has no drive.

Just play until you're sipping your food through a straw. Not surprised these opinions are coming from the Dak faithfuls.

Fighting what. It isn't his shoulder. He does this every year in TC. He misses time he has some lingering injury. If I'm a colts fan it would be good riddance. Just like I was sick of hearing Romo being babied every offseason and training camp.

The fact that you have to exaggerate the severity of his injury tells me that you actually agree with me.

Because surely quitting two weeks before the season with a minor injury would be pathetic correct?

And if you continue show that you are incapable of having a discussion without insulting people I will just put you on ignore. Your choice.

No...I said some opinions can be considered to be asinine. I think you’re taking what I said to too far of an extreme. It’s possible to see both sides to this issue. I see the arguments on why Luck shouldn’t be considered soft or a ‘quitter’. I can also see the logic to the side that believes he’s being weak.

That's not the way you were framing it earlier. I told you to just go with "I'm trolling, bro!". Stop pretending you're in some neutral position or just arguing over poor word choice.

Again, you have to exaggerate the injury issue to make a point.

Dak supporters? Ah so you are trolling? Not surprising.

But I will tell you what......If Dak up and quit next week after spraining his ankle, I would boo him out of hte stadium.

I get disagreeing with his decision, but saying he never showed fire, emotion or swag? That's just ignorant. Dude used to sprint down the field screaming after his teammates made great plays. He played with, through and after some very serious injuries. One even being life threatening.

I understand taking exception to this decision, but the rest of that comment is unfounded. Then again, some people think if a player or coach isn't screaming and cussing and hooting and hollering constantly, they don't have heart...

Tim Duncan says hello...

Hilarious on the Romo. Here is a guy that was in out out of the lineup at the end. He had pain. Hell, he even broke his back. And did Romo simply quit on his team before the season or during?

No........the guy at least had the respect to wait until the offseason.

Don’t really see why Troy is so triggered. Gottlieb isn’t saying Luck doesn’t have the right to retire. He’s just saying that this is a very 2019 thing that we’re witnessing.

Wanting to preserve your physical and mental health and leaving tens of millions on the table is a 2019 thing to do? That's awesome. Shows progress in society. But I get it, you want these guys to pummel themselves into oblivion for your own entertainment while watching on your own couch and then when they want out, you say stuff like "this is a very 2019 thing we are witnessing".

Telling a grown man to suck it up and rehab some more so he can go out there and get more blows to his body. All for your entertainment and nothing more.

What lies? Did he retire after tearing a kidney and stomach muscle? Or did he come back and play after what could have been a life threatening injury? And when he tore his kidney, he was also playing with a rib issue that he took injections for to play. And that's on top of having consistent shoulder problems that eventually resulted in a torn labrum that needed extensive surgery.

Throw in a concussion during that time frame and the notion that he lacked competitive drive is hilarious.
