The Cowboys Just Lost the Best Defensive Player in the NFL

Here's "the truth"........................In 2017 Vander Esch wasn't even on the roster and Jaylon Smith was spending his year to recuperate ; Orlando Scandrick was a starting corner and Byron Jones was playing out of position at safety . The defense has improved exponentially , talent-wise...................

Then how was 2016 BETTER in ppg if those players matter more than Zeke?

He will not play under his current contract. To play for the Dallas Cowboys, he needs a new one. So he is unsigned as far as relevancy to the situation. Does he have a contract right now? Sure. Do you genuinely expect him to play against the Giants under his rookie deal? No? Then it doesn't matter.
You said he is unsigned. Which is wrong. Stop backpeddling and admit you are WRONG. You said "talks have fallen apart". No where anywhere was reporting this. Just you. And now

You are still trying to backup your "accuracy"

Your accuracy is about as good as Daks.

I’ll give you some credit @Aerolithe_Lion. There’s stretches where you fight the urge to needle people and engage in a bit of trolling.

But every once in a while you break down and have a go at it.

Glance through the replies in this thread. 75% of the people don't want to argue the point of it. They want to bicker about a word, a wording, semantics. They want to attack me because I'm not 'like you'. I didn't post anything non-factual. Is my argument wrong? No. So why is everyone so up in arms? Because they don't have a dispute against it.

Fallen apart was wrong wording, I admit that. PC words like 'obstacles' and 'continued disputes' is more accurate. Is this the third or fourth time he's flown back and fourth from Cabo?

Unsigned is right. Because the contract he has now is irrelevant.

According to 2016 he didn't, at least not as much as Zeke did.
You understand how stupid that is right? Maybe it's your perception that's the problem. It's cool tho. I know crying on an opponent's message board praying that one of their players will be out is a sure sign of confidence in your team. Yep that's it. Yall post about Zeke non stop because you're sure you can beat him for the first time this year.

I'm a moron that's crying? Interesting counter argument.

I've been proclaiming it since Demarco Murray that you guys are designed specifically for a high workload, bruising RB. So yes, absolutely.

Just one question. Why is a Buzzard fan so enamored with all things Cowboy? I realize most of your fan base is essentially illiterate and your boards are pathetically bad, but damn man, have just a little pride!

The difference in PPG : 2016 allowed 25 field goals and 34 TD's while last year they gave up 27 and 35 , respectively ; less than 1 more point per game with a 1st year LB and a completely revamped defensive backfield.............................

Are you drunk this early in the day ?

Am I up in arms?

You know you like to needle folks about things from time to time. Just admit it. It’s no big deal really. Lots of folks do it. Myself included.

Just don’t play the babe in the woods about it, when it’s mentioned.

Also, when your title states that the team “lost” their best defensive player. It isn’t semantics to point out that the player isn’t lost. That’s the thing. You’re saying it’s semantics but it isn’t. When the entire Crux of your argument is that Zeke is a huge help to the defense and that losing him would negatively impact the defense, if Zeke is in fact NOT lost, that is a major component of the argument.

So people telling you that Zeke isn’t necessarily lost, given he is under contract and in active negotiations with the team. That’s a key part of the argument. Given that if he does sign a new deal and plays on Sunday. The entire rest of your argument becomes instantly moot anyway.

So it’s not semantics to say he isn’t lost.

Why would Barkley give the Giants a better top? He isn't a grinder and relies on the big plays to rack up stats. Barkley isn't getting you 4-5 yards a pop. He is getting negative yards, negative, 0 yards, 0 yards, 15 yards..... Then people say he is so great he averaged 5 yards a carry............
True, but to be fair, that's what Tony Dorsett did for a decade in Dallas.

Contract right now is irrelevant until week 10 when he has to report back because of aforementioned contract. But its "irrelevant"

An All-Pro LB, and a fully health Jaylon Smith. So do you feel they had minimal impact on your D last year, or did they have tremendous impact? Because your stats do not agree with you.
