Totally agree. His antics were too obvious to be taken seriously. He wanted to go to one or two teams but Pitts sent him to the Raiders, which he didn't want. His agent started working the phones and got a deal from the Pats pending his release from Oakland. He tried multiple ways to drive them to let him go and they did.

The quickness in which a deal was in place with all the details, bonuses, etc etc makes it so obvious that this was cooked a while back. I hope they fail big time and would root for every team in AFC to knock them out of the playoffs

The Pats would meddle like that, too.

Like, maybe an hour later.

"Oh, yeah, we got Antonio Brown signed."

What do crackers have to do with this?

Oh, I see.

By the way, you're off.

The cracker you are thinking is a whip cracker. Not a cracker, like the one you eat.

Almost everyone gets that wrong.
I wasn't aware there was anyone who didn't know where that term came form.

I was just going fir obscure comedy.

How does an idiot like Brown get himself into a great situation

Maybe he’s not the idiot we are led to believe and he’s played this perfectly...
He’s now had a massive upgrade from the Raiders to the perennial winners, the Patriots.
It feels this has been engineered all along and it’s maybe the Raiders who are the mess ana not Brown, it feels like he’s forced his way out because he’s seen how badly they are run compared to what Pittsburgh was like.
Would think the league should look into how this has transpired, but am guessing they won’t.

Yeah, I remember.

Garrett did what I kind of do as a fan when I remember Garrett is still our head coach.

After all these years of failing.

I understand, failing can make you better. It really can. But Garrett just can't get past the failing part. It's not in his DNA. He's a privileged goof, with an average IQ, and just goes along to get along, claps and stuff.

If I were Jerry, I'd move him to personnel. Because he's good at that. But he's just not coach material.
Average IQ?:lmao::lmao2::lmao2::lmao::lmao2::lmao::lmao2:Don’t flatter yourself. You be below average.

This just sucks, only hope now is for Brady to fall apart , otherwise they are going to average 35 points a game easily

lol Patriots just keep waiting for other teams to keep making mistakes then use those special players to boost them to the Super Bowl or at least go 16-0

This really smells. Was this the plan along?

They got it down to a science. Pats are good that way.

BTW how long has it been since a major sports story on Kraft’s offseason issue .

They work the system better than anyone.

You know old school football. If a player disrespected a coach or someone on the field no other coach would pick that player up out of respect. I miss the old days

It is definitely concerning how it all played out. The Steelers and Raiders' optics suggested Brown is dealing with some exceptionally powerful emotional issues.

If true, New England will face the same decision as Pittsburgh and Oakland. If it has all been a facade, two franchises have been played and a fellow franchise, with a dubious history of keeping uncontrollable players controlled, will have profited.

Time will offer a likely answer. There is a remote possibility the whole thing could have been (partially) orchestrated by more than Brown himself. That question mark would necessitate the league office should take a closer look at how this all went down. Then again, I find very little comfort expecting Goodell could oversee a competent investigation--especially one centering on the Patriots.

Some people believe that Brown has emotional or mental issues. If his issues are that deeply seeded than it maybe a only a matter of them before they resurface with the Pats.

But, I'm starting to believe that Brown planned this out and pressed the Raiders to release him on purpose, because he knew that the Patriots would be the type of team to sign him.

I think the league needs to look at this. No way they get this done in a matter of hours.
