Too many!!! But the 2 that popped into mind as soon as I read this was the original Hail Mary for Staubach to Pearson and Romo's TD pass to T. Williams after spinning out and leaving JJ Watt tumbling to the ground.

There have been a few. In fact, too many for me to probably mention but there are a few that kinda stand out.

Of course the Smith drop. He was a good guy too.

The QB Sneak by the great Bart Starr in 67.

The numerous bad calls vs the Colts in Super Bowl V

Tony's Field Goal hold vs Seattle.

The Danny No! play.

The Dez catch (No Catch!) play.

Roger's last pass ever vs the Rams is right up there for sure.

But this, this might be the one. Over the years, I've looked at this picture and just wondered what if. What if any one of those players had been just one step closer? This one, I think, for me.....

To be honest, it wasn't even the catch itself. It was always the idea that if any one of those guys could have been there just a have second sooner........

Such is life I suppose.
You're a real "glass is half empty" kinda guy, ain't ya ABQ? lol

Oddly enough, my most unforgettable play was the 50-yard TD pass to Drew Pearson, thrown by Clint Longley against the Commanders on Thanksgiving Day. It culminated a 3-touchdown, come from behind scoring spree, to win the game. He burned the Commanders repeatedly during that extended scoring spree that shocked the world! Everyone and their grannies were in disbelief! Unforgettable.

The 'Skins weren't prepared to deal with the bombs he threw, since his entrance into the game was due to his unexpected entry as a backup to Roger Staubach. It was a crazy, unbelievable incident that was the highlight of his short career with the Cowboys! Of course, he was later cut from the team for getting into that infamous locker room brawl with Roger Staubach that Longley lost. Man, that entire drama was bonkers!

1972 playoff game against 49ers 90 sec left Cowboys recover onsides kick and Roger goes to work . Runs the ball himself for a big gain hits the sideline pass at the 10 then connects with Ron sellers for game winning TD and we advance .

I was so upset we were losing my mom turned the TV off and removed the knobs had to go to the basement get needle nose plyers to get it back on or would have missed one of the greatest comebacks in franchise history . I was 11 and remember this vividly Roger hit Billy Parks with a TD before the game winner

Those were great days Im ready to see Dak win games like that . He has the tools

Leon Lett thanksgiving day, I remember the touchdown Irvin had in the Pasadena super bowl. I remember Emmitt Smith going into a pack of Bears defenders like 4 or 5 and spinning out to the right and then one monster hit Emmitt delivered to a blitzing linebacker not sure what team but the defender was coming unblocked straight up the gut and Emmitt crushed the guy and he left with an injury.

So many, wish there were more of them from recent memory.

I don't have one favorite, there are about 100 of them. One I didn't see mentioned is George Teague knocking TO off the Star. Emmitt breaking the rushing record against Seattle. Aikman's retirement press conference.

Love all the different ones thrown out there...can't say that there is one of them so far that I disagree with. Well, the Derrick Lassic run one...duh!

Great play: Witten running down the field vs Philly w/ no helmet. Didn’t score but that play summed up his hall of game career in one play. Self-less, grit, All-American

Bad play: Romo’s fumbled hold vs Seattle

I’m in my 20s so that’s what I got. Wish I had more memorable playoff moments

Emmitt against Vikings on MNF 1999. On a night celebrating Walter Payton, Emmitt goes off for 63 yard TD run. Dat Nyugen forces fumble on next play. Emmitt runs it in 25 yards. Two TDs in 18 seconds. Emmitt had a real chance at breaking Payton's single game rushing record with 150 before the half. He was running crazy that night. But he broke his hand on his first score. He would not play in the second half.

I don't know why that's not so rememberable. But it is so lovable
