Nothing wrong with arrogant and cocky if you can back it up. I love seeing it. What's the worst is when you are cocky and are the likes of Kirk Cousins, who has never did anything.

That's the problem with the "me" generation. The game is not about the individual and when you try to make it so then that's when people think you're an ***.

This the same aikman that said accuracy cannot be taught. You either have it or you don't. Dak has proven otherwise. Troy's an arrogant redneck. But he's got buck to stroke his ego. "I'm here with the hall of famer".........
Ayeee when you have 3 rings you can be arrogant as you want. It’s on idiots who chose to believe the things they say.

I appreciate what Aikman contributed, but he just comes across as a grumpy old guy who doesnt like to hear good things said about others. When the team was stacked they brought home rings, when it wasnt we had no chance.

I noticed yesterday and from highlights today. I was going to post at some point.

Mahomes is starting to remind me on the cockiness level of Cam Newton.
Almost Arrogant with on the field antics. Not quite as bad, but a sign of it.

Duly noted for sure. He's had the adoration of everyone in the media and the fans since his arrival on the football scene.

That, in itself, affords a clear indication of how easy it must be for a young quarterback to assume a cocky way of acting.

Cam Newton is the undisputed emperor of the cockiness that invades the persona of those being given a godlike image.

Kansas City Radio tries to compare Mahomes to Aikman and Aikman isn't having it!! :lmao2::flagwave::clap::

Lol love it. So many apples to oranges here. Aikman obviously played on a much more balanced team that featured a strong running game. He also played in an era when the defenders could actually touch the QBs too, making it much tougher. Mahomes is obviously very talented though.

Wouldn’t you be cocky if you were him? Dude has lit the league up and is only in his second year. Imagine if Baker Mayfield wasn’t such a scrub this year...

To be fair, any QB would be a "scrub" if they were forced to endure the kind of o-linemen that Mayfield plays behind. The Browns desperately need to draft some OL to protect him if he's ever to be given a chance to maximize his skills. They're just less than pathetic. Mahomes is certainly in a class by himself, however.

I wouldn't go that far, but he should have just let it go. Other people will fight for him, and he won't have to be all defensive about it.

I think Troy's concussions has let to a little aggression and/or anger issue. It's not an uncommon problem for multi-concussion sufferers to deal with.

I agree with Troy on this call out and MJ would say the same in basketball, tell whomever I was 6 for 6 and never had to play a game 6 because we closed people out by game 5. Tell it like it is Troy.

I don’t like Aikman’s statement. The original tweet is essentially a cool stat to show how crazy good Mahomes is, not a jab at Aikman. I think Troy’s response is unnecessary.

I like Troy but Mahomes shows every sign that he will be a better QB......of course Mahomes isn't better than Dak,...since threads on this broad state that Dak is the Best QB in the NFL.......poor Chiefs so jealous of our Quarterback

Mahomes is a much better QB right now than Aikman ever was. Plain truth. Not even close. Marino was one of the best QBs ever, much better than Aikman.
Super bowls are about the team. Aikman played on maybe the best team ever.
Aikman is comparing apples to oranges.
If Mahomes stays healthy and doesn't retire early, he will most likely own almost every passing record. That is how good he is.

Well, he backs it up.
Aikman was the perfect guy for the team and system the Cowboys ran in the early 90's.

He may have been capable of the magical things Mahomes does today, if in the same system, but I swear, Mahomes is on different level than any QB I have ever watched.

Love Dak and his hot start.

Couldn't have said it better. With the sissification of the League and the new rules protecting QB's there's no telling what numbers Marino would have put up. But that snap on Mahomes passes are no joke; he probably would have played well in that era too.
