Aikman, to my knowledge has always thought Prescott had the goods. Especially with regard to leadership, character, and some of the intangibles.

The only time I’ve heard #8 throw even the smallest hint of shade at Dak was that he didn’t think accuracy was something you got a ton better at, either you had it or you didn’t.

Games I’ve watched Aikman broadcast or interviews such as this one, he’s always been extremely complimentary of Dak.

Uhhh I'm usually a Aikman fan but Aikman does get lost in trying to hide his fandom in his telecasts to the point he does sound like a hater. And we already know Joe Buck is the #1. If that's Aikman's honest opinion of Dak that's fine but he just like the rest of the media wasn't really fair or even right on their criticisms of Dak. He was being judged like he was Rex Grossman or Tim Tebow.

Unfortunately this is the New way of the world. If someone disagree with you, make it personal and insinuate its because of a personal agenda one deeply harbors. Of course this dogwhistle attempt usually falls apart as soon as they see that you have praised someone like say for instance, Mahomes, a guy who put up 50 TDs and had a historic year and is right back on track this year. He passes the eye test and stats are top 5.

I assumed that all these years that the Never Romo crowd just critiqued him because of the turnovers but I guess they had a deeper agenda against him and now project it on others.........strange world

The three defenses Dallas has played have gotten lit up by every offense they've faced. That includes Tampa, Buffalo, Baltimore, Philly, New England, and Chicago.

New Orleans and Green Bay have pretty good defenses. We'll have a much better feel soon.

I don't expect receivers to be running free wide open all game the next two weeks.

I do like that 9 different players have splash plays of 20 yards or more. Makes the Cowboys very hard to gameplan for.

Green Bay's defense looked like trash last night. If the Eagles could run for over 170 on them, what will Dallas do? I am not worried about Green Bay. Saint's still worry me.

Well Troy made the ridiculous assertion that a QB can’t improve his accuracy. If you believe that then you are one of the dumbest of them all.

Doesn't measure down and distance.

Doesn't consider the score at the time, or the amount of time left.

Doesn't measure who the primary receiver was.

Doesn't measure where the blitz is coming from or the time to throw.

Doesn't measure zone versus man versus man/zone mixes.

You can't statistically measure football. There are just too many variables to consider.

Case in point: Roger Staubach had about an 82 QB rating. At the time, that was the highest rating in NFL history. Now, that would get him released, or least benched. But when you watched him, you knew you were seeing as a great of a QB as there is in the game even today.

We're talking about average separation. You said receivers were running around wide open. I told you how average separation was measured, and how these measurements reveal that Dallas' receivers' separation is almost certainly below the league average.

The average separation of a receiver from a defender is completely unaffected by every single factor you listed there.
