Dear Zoners,

I couldnt catch the game , except the last 8 mins and what I saw that , offense had a chance to put somepoints but couldn't capitalize for whateve reasons, Receivers were not getting free , passes were behind, running game was nowhere , OL not getting push, and Defense was not getting out in 3rd downs , again and again.

I was disappointed with the score , if we cant win after keeping another team to 12 points , I was wrong about this offense.

And you assume we are one of the best before the season plays out. So, I think I'm allowed to point out I don't think we are one of the best and certainly didn't look great last week until the second half against the worst team in football.

Saints don't have a great D and it's questionable if it's even good and they are with their backup QB. Whether they are one of the best with Brees doesn't matter, we weren't facing him, we were facing Bridgewater who was dinking and dunking all night because that's all he can do.
And we looked totally lost trying to defend it. Saints offensive staff threw the kitchen sink at us. Screens to wrs. Screens to rbs. Screens to TEs. Fake screen one way throw back side to another screen. Lots of innovative play designs and calls. They should've been much more successful. But Bridgewater is pretty awful. And Peyton outsmart himself wayyyyy too much.

Meanwhile in Dallas. It's 1st and 10. Dive up the middle. 2nd and 9. Pass for 3 yds. 3rd and 6. Pressure on Dak. Incomplete or pass for 5 yds.

Rinse. Repeat

11 yrs and counting

Yes, on the bright side, we found a pass rush, and we did get an interception in the first quarter. Pity Cobb dropped that TD. Would've made a massive difference.

That wasn't a drop. Cobb laid out, and the ball was still beyond him.

....by watching games. I'm not impressed with beating the Giants, Commanders, and Dolphins. Two of which we started out quite slow against, one of which is the worst team in football like I mentioned. The best teams in football beat teams missing their franchise QBs. Best teams in football score more than 10 points against a team that has been getting gashed against the pass. There is nothing indicating we are "one of the best". We have yet to have consistent year to year success for you to consider we are that - we were a 9-7 team in 2017 and a 10-6 team last year. We miss the playoffs every other season at our BEST.

And no, as of now in the three games before we faced them, the Saints D has not been "very good" - they may be good in some areas, but in other areas they have been pretty bad.
Everyone has a different interpretation watching games.
The Win-Loss Record is the only objective measurement you can use to determine whether a team is better than another team.

24 minutes of possession
45 yards rushing
10 points
2 turnovers

Who do you expect to beat with that offensive output?
Jake its the job of coaching staff to prepare team to play....i get so angry when i hear red-ball post game interview after a game like this...we actually played good in some areas etc etc...i hope this is signature game to fire Garrett

Our defense was good yes, but their defense played even better. We could have won this game 10-9, but nobody will ever consider that possibility around here it seems...why?

Cuzzzz...morale victories rule! or so it seems sometimes around here.

Look, we were ahead 10-9 going into the 4th quarter and there's no reason why we couldn't have ended this game with that same score.
Oh no no silverstar...that would have been utterly impossible because the offense was not blah, blah, blah.....aw cmon BS!!

Grrrr.....@%^$$^$...lose to fn bridgewater...@!@$#$%....aaahhhh!......ok rant over.

Whew...I'm alright....

Alrighty then...back to the losing close defensive games is ok on the road during the regular season against non division playoff teams etc, etc, etc.

3-1

Jerry said it was a high ankle sprain. If true, that means he would be out 4-6 weeks. Get ready for "The Cam Flemming Show", followed by lots of whiffing and QB sacks. Dak needs to have his head on a swivel and prepare for heavy incoming.
You can be sure that we will NOT game plan to help the new LT out

They are all winnable but there is no denying they are all much better teams than we played the 1st 3 weeks of this season
dont disagree.
bottom line...we cant make dumb mistakes that kill possessions or extend theirs and expect to win.

Terrible game on both sides of the ball.
Got out coached again.
Refs helped some, but really can’t say it cost the game overall. They did give them 3 points, but did we get help for a FG as well, or was it the TD.

Trying not to be a PLDP
Post Loss Depression Poster. :lmao: And look at things objectively and for the long scheme of things.
But this defense sucks. Not giving up a lot of points, but still not making the really big plays that helps the offense change the way closer games go. Not when it counts, not when the offense is struggling.

I don't thing the D play terrible they just didn't make a lot of 3rd down stops until the redzone... But the offense didn't help at all, if they score then the Saints can't continue to milk the clock the whole time they have the ball and Teddy has to throw the ball more down field... But to me it's pretty obvoius that Garrett took over the game plan again.

I don't know how we can blame this on the HC when the OL can't run block or pass block with any consistency. This is just what happens when you lose the battle in the trenches.
It’s not that simple. I can’t explain it if you didn’t watch the offensive game plan.
