So, execution by the players has nothing to do with it?
We see the OC and QB up against a real team and the HC gets the blame? Some are actually blaming him for the offense last night? So what do you think happened, the Joneses got tired of seeing success and told Garrett to stop Moore and his antics?
At what point do posters consider their lofty opinions were based on the really bad teams that they played with MIA and WAS fighting for the top pick? They played a tough team last night in their stadium and the Saints defense is better this year and they stuffed the Cowboys #1 weapon and that's the HC's fault?
I am not a Garrett fan but that was a team loss last night against a team on the same level with the Cowboys. If that game is played in Dallas, maybe that's reversed but those fans had been ready for that game for quite some time and their players feed off the energy created by their fans. Good teams lose there all the time.
So it has been 10 years of the players 'not executing', despite us completely overturning the roster?
Yes, it's the HC's fault that we couldn't come up with a gameplan to adjust to their defense and it's the HC's fault that we didn't stuff their backup qb. Somehow they can stop the league's rushing champ for the past few years, but we couldn't stuff their rb. HC's should hold ultimate accountability since they are essentially the ceo of the team. The difference between a Garrett and a Bellichick is if Bellichick sees his coordinates not doing their job properly, he can step in and direct things on his own, whereas we get MORE successful the more we take away from Garrett's plate. Why does everyone else have to be perfect, but Garrett doesn't have to step his game up?
If the players aren't executing, then it's up to the HC to provide discipline to make sure there are repercussions for making critical mistakes. Under Jimmy Johnson, players were scared of not executing. Is there any such discipline here?
If this was a one year or even two year problem, then I could say it is maybe the player's or some coordinators fault, but this is nearly 10 years of the SAME results.
