Is JG losing the locker room like Wade Phillips did?

I do NOT think the team has quit on Garrett like the team quit on Wade Phillips; however, much of that is because they've focused on drafting players that are unlikely to quit (RKG in Garrett's works. An abundance of college team captains have been drafted/acquired during Garrett's time as HC and most of the Greg Hardy types have been pushed out by Garrett.

I thought the team played their best after Garrett got the penalty for showing emotion when dealing with the Refs.

Maybe that shows what's missing.

Garrett would likely be good in corporate America where the "do things the right way" approach would be good; however, in Sports much more emotion is involved and Garrett just does not have much emotion 99.9% of the time.

People might say that Belichick does not show much emotion but I don't see it that way. The tension he creates without saying much is an emotional trigger for players.

Seriously I think we'll find out within the month. He won't get fired during the season but if the team continues to struggle and the losses pile up it will be harder for Jerry to sell Garrett to the masses. You can't sell hope with a mediocre record on a team you promoted as a SB contender. The same thing that happened to the 2010 team.

No way JG gets fired. He’ll be here for decades. Dak on the other hand will be elsewhere next year if he has a below average season. He’s gonna ask for 35-40 million per no matter what, and Dallas has been hesitant to give him that even when he’s playing well.

Let someone do a Kirk Cousins and sign him to a megadeal. They’ll regret it.

I know some people that can't figure out how to keep their teenage kids out of trouble.

They try grounding them and those types of punishments but the results are not good.

The common element that I've noticed is that none of those parents get mad when the kids screw up.

"Oh son, you are super awesome and we are all super high on life but you caused 10 people to be hospitalized due to texting while you were driving.

We regret that we're going to have to take away your car for a few days.

We know that you are super awesome but we're going to stick to the rules that we gave you."


If I had done that as a teenager, my Mom would have turned into a combination of Jimmy Johnson and Bill Belichick with some Parcells thrown in for good measure.

I saw guys not making plays but none giving up. The offense had moments of decency but daks inaccuracy couldnt do enough to overcome 3 turnovers and a defensive no show. They did atleast score some points. Our defense also didn't give up they just got beat, esp schematically. We would alllove to see what the heck marinelli is telling these guys in film session. How often we going to let non running trams dominate the ground game before we do anything different.

Exactly .. which is my point. We have been screwed for a generation of fans.

Unfortunately what we want doesn’t matter unless we make Jerry feel the pain in his back pocket or possibly public humility with a total collapse.

I haven't read the whole thread but that Wade Garrett guy SUCKS.

I wouldn't call the offense DOA against the Saints, they scored 10 points this year but 13 points last year and won. Its two teams that are pretty evenly matched.

Also Garrett lost his cookies because there were two atrocious calls and the Ref baited him on the first one. The flag was a joke because there have literally been a thousand HC outbursts on the sidelines that were way worse that never got a flag. Jerry was right to ridicule the ref, if you can't listen to a HC screaming then don't make horrible calls. Its not difficult.

screaming and cussing are 2 different things, jg had to have cussed at him to draw the flag. That was stupid by jg.

As long as you maintain your composure, the police showing up shouldn't be a problem.
