Faith or no Faith that the Cowboys can turn things around?

I think the Eagles game will be the tell. Practically, speaking both teams have to have this one. The team that wins will be in a good position despite the inconsistency of their play this season. The team that loses will find it difficult to recover, I think.

Surely appears the NFC East could be taken by a team that wins 9 games, maybe 10. I don't think the division will yield a Wild Card. On paper, the Cowboys have a difficult schedule, but as we've seen, paper isn't worth much.

Frankly, I wouldn't surprised if the Cowboys win a close won, lose a close one or get beaten badly. The only outcome that would surprise me -- an easy Dallas win.

I'm odds of me winning the lottery, getting struck by lighting, getting Thor powers, have Garrett getting fired, and finding a unicorn in one day are 10x higher than this being an easy win for Dallas.

Faith is not a word I would associate with a GM that still doesn’t recognize that he’s the biggest problem this franchise has.

0 faith. other than against a couple of really bad teams, we have shown no spark, no emotion, and frankly, no planning.

Stick a fork in them, do not see any major turnaround with this squad.

If by chance they did start winning, it would end in disaster in the end just like all the other Garrett teams from years past.

I'm just looking to take the current temperature of the forum and wanted to see where everyone's mindset is currently.

There are no right or wrong answers here and I hope everyone feels that they can answer honestly. Not toward other fans, but about this team.

What is your current feeling right now? Do you have faith that the Cowboys can turn things around and still compete for the division, playoffs, and maybe more?

Or has your faith been too seriously tested and you think this is the beginning of a huge slide and the end of the season?

I'll start. I don't have faith right now and I think the Eagles will lay a beating on this team come Sunday night. But having said that, I felt this same way last year and was totally wrong about that. That team surprised me and went on a run. Maybe they have it in them to do it once again?

Where do you stand at this point?
I think this team can compete for the division and the playoffs. But that's it. Jason is a 1 and done playoff head coach at most.

Of course they could turn it around. This team still has tons of talent. There are some injuries now, but the important ones on the OL and Cooper will be back. Best of all for them is a terrible division. Just beat Philly -- who aren't that great themselves -- and you're in.

They're incredibly lucky that they only have to beat one decent team to win the division. In almost any other division, they'd already be cooked. Garrett has more lives than a cat.

That right there is some of the problem. The Cowboys always get "but there are injuries" as an excuse.... Always... While other teams actually have their backups step up and play freaking football...and get wins even with multiple injuries. When the Cowboys get multiple injuries, it's losses and excuses.

Are you really expecting an OL that might not have Smith or Collins to come out and dominate their DL?

I am not trying to make that as an excuse here, because excuses are weak at this point. But I am also not going to ignore reality here. I think if this team is going to win on Sunday, it's going to be on the backs of Prescott rebounding after three so-so weeks. The way to beat Philly is through the air, not on the ground. If we try to run it 35 times up the gut at these guys with this OL, there is zero chance we win IMO.

They are going to have to pass in order to make Elliott effective, IMO. Now if we had Collins and Smith and everyone was healthy? We are talking a different thing here.

That's the beauty of today's NFL. As long as there are referees on the field, ANYTHING can happen.

Right now this defense is in trouble. The interior D line will be a problem that they won't be able to overcome.

This is on top of a complete failure to generate turnovers and all the gameday coaching gaffes we've grown accustomed to.

If we fire Garrett, yes.

Personally anything's possible current but my personal opinion is this there's something going on that we don't know about. And I'm thinking it's starting with the offensive line. Until until that's fixed in my mind no I don't have faith. Because that's where it all starts my cowboy brother

Losing helps nothing it only magnifies the problem people. Under no circumstances would I ever support voluntarily losing anything.

Presently, the Cowboys appear to have way too many lingering injuries that look doubtful for their recovery in the rest of their games. The level of my faith in this team's finishing well could best be described as minimal. Three games or so, with luck.
Three months of football. It only takes 4 to 6 weeks to heal an injury usually. I'm not going to go with injuries for reason of choice. Although I can understand why you would want to. To me it's attitude preparation and I don't see any of it

I think cooper brought a spark
I don’t know what’s gonna bring a spark this year
But I’m sure hoping most posts aren’t about the draft next week
