A 1 and two 2's means they weren't really looking to trade him. They wanted to rob someone.
No you always ask for more than you expect. They probably expected a 1 and a 2, which we didn't offer. And it's more than fair for a superstar player.

why would u do that when u could of drafted a really good safety in the second round instead of a project at defensive tackle
Hot take: this was a reasonable ask from the Jets and a reasonable pass from the Cowboys
Yeah..I agree.. glad they didnt give up three high picks.... Still wish they coulda pulled it out for a more fair trade.. All Pro safety on the cowboys way overdue. If that was really the price I'm glad they did not get it done. Much too steep for a team that has built so much through the draft. Players brought in from the outside should supplement what the Cowboys do in the draft, not replace it. For a one time trade of one 1st rounder, Cooper was worth it. A 1st rounder plus two 2nd rounders is too much.
That's not to say that a proven player isn't nice, but a team needs the draft so it can replenish talent without having to pay big contracts to everyone. That's not sustainable.
Sure if he was Deion Sanders level superstar. No thanxs.
Who was available that's now been playing lights out? Myself I'd rather let rookie Wilson get snaps, see if his preseason promise is real.
Byron Jones, Jaylon Smith, AND Chido—for a safety (with only two years of rights)?Yeah because you can get Deion Sanders at the end of the first round.
You'd be lucky to get a Deion Sanders with the first pick in 10 straight drafts. He comes around once in a generation.
This would be more like traing Byron and Jaylon. Or LVE and Trystan. Or Taco and Chido. In any case it's a no brainers. You just don't watch Jamal Adams obviously.
That is the truth. Greed.A 1 and two 2's means they weren't really looking to trade him. They wanted to rob someone.
I'd counter with a one, a three and a two the next year with a 3rd the following year. You'd accept and that's why you're lucky I'm not in your fantasy league.
And this is why you post and are not a GM.
Way too much to give up.
I counter offered with that and basically got a response of "deal". So you're actually saying I should take my 3 time FF champ self to the big leagues?
