Jerry Jones gave Dak Prescott his seal of approval in October 2016. That is extremely old news. And none of Jones' DNA Kids are the general manager.

Prescott's payday has always been simply a matter of time for three years now. It is one thing to be critical of a player. That has been going on since humans created sports. This no compensation fantasy is a whole different matter.

Payday is coming. A significant portion of the salary cap will be eaten up. The final $$$ will be more than some hope or want and will declare insane,. Blame Jones. Blame Prescott. It's all good. And it will be MUCH better than one day saying, "omg. what just happened???"

Another delusional Dakaholic post. If your football savior is supposed to be the leader he gets the most praise and blame for the offense struggling. That's what leaders are supposed to do but most of y'all don't know anything about leadership. Y'all just like the title but not the actual things that go along with it. I think a lot of y'all should read a great book called leaders eat last it will help y'all get a better understanding on how leaders should move.

I also know y'all little online hearts want to win this perceived battle over Smith Jr but he's just average esp against teams that will be in the way of a SB. Don't be fooled that this guy is soo amazing just because you want to win an online discussion. Dak is average not great not sorry and will be that way probably for the rest of his career. I know some weird stats will say otherwise but the stats have to be mixed in with actual on the field play esp against teams you're likely to see on the road to the SB.

That is okay. What will get on my nerves is any outrage empowered by an "i do not know how this could happened" defense. Being blindsided is one thing but salary economics and the quarterback position in particular has been obvious for over twenty years. Throw in the fact that Jerry Jones of all people will be cutting the check and the ONLY thing people should be arguing is the possibility that Jones may make Prescott the highest paid quarterback in the league.

Funny thing is I think the meltdown will be moreso on fans like Presgoat when the same pass he gets now as a 2mill QB he doesn't get as a top 5 paid QB. Once he gets paid people are going to expect more and be more critical than they are now.

I can respect that opinion. where we may differ is that some of us think that Dakota has hit his ceiling. This game should have been wrapped up by the 3rd quarter. this heroic comeback against the 27th ranked pass defense was because of 3 quarters of mediocrity. it wont work against defenses in the top 15 of this league

Not that accurate; we scored 16 points in the 1st three quarters and NY had 15. It's not outstanding but we put points up.
Also, Prescott took a significant step forward from the middle of last season and specifically this season, so I don't believe anyone truly knows what his ceiling is. He could very well improve a little bit more, who knows?

If he gets signed to a reasonable contract many of his critics will be just fine, so the FO can get the talent around him that he needs.......Im not sure, however why anybody would feel smug if he gets paid twice as much as Brady but only having half the talent.

Some "fans" even hope he gets the biggest contract possible, hurting the team, just so they can see other, actual fans of the team, be upset by it.
