I think Richard is over rated. There is a reason Seattle let him go. This is the second games where we basically let the running back beat us (the other being Green Bay).

So, we lost to a team without their starting QB and two teams without their number 1 wideout. That isn’t going to get it done.

Our DT’s are killing this team and we will not win a SB with the mentality that we don’t pay a 1 technique.

Unfortunately, that starts at the top with Jason Garett.

Yes, and our linebackers are not stout enough to have anyone but RBS at best coming at them. Their defensive line killed our offensive line. Say what you want , but Williams us not a guard! Hire all the coaches you like. They'll still be Jerry's coaches, which means they will fit certain criteria.

We won't but this is the move I would make tonight:

Bring in Marinelli, give him a chance to step down.
Fire him if he refuses.
"Promote" Kris Richard to DC for remainder of this season.
Bring in Greg Schiano to serve as "Defensive Consultant."

It's cut throat but it's needed. This defense needs a Rick James to Charlie Murphy slap-in-the-face wake-up call.

The Vikings abused it all game, especially on the 2nd and goal from the 5-yard line after the false start. HUGE hole right up the gut, as usual, because the DTs were bailing out of their gaps.

2nd down and 2.....you would think running for a 1st down wouldn't be so hard. I had no problem w/ the play calls. It's the execution...the players...(Conner Willams) that needs to be held accountable.

The problem was Coach Zimmer said the game plan was to not let Dallas run the ball against them. Zeke rushed for 47 yards in the game, his lowest total ever or close to it. They stacked the line and were keying on Zeke, there is no way they should have run there. The Dallas offensive line is no longer able to dominate good defensive lines, as I said there is no way they should have been running Zeke there. The 4th down pass was just mind boggling, but it should not have come to that.

This team underachieves year after year, and it’s been going on for a decade. The coaching staff continually makes stupid decisions when games are on the line and they’re incapable of making in game adjustments. It is past time to blow it all up. I’m just tired of disappointment every damned year.

Zeke looks like Emmit did the last few years of his career. Never tries to avoid anyone, no stutter steps, jukes or anything. Just hit the defender and go down.

Who would we bring in if we did a coach purge? That’s 3 coaches fired (Rod, Garrett, and Richard). It’d be hard to recover from such a hardcore purge. I’m not saying we shouldn’t do it, but we need to research people best for the job before we walk into something that impactful.
