The media absolutely hypes the Cowboys but they do it so they can tear them down. Both sides covered. Both sides create tons of traffic. I feel like we really aren't disagreeing too much. Just disagreeing on small stupid stuff.

Not to get off topic, but this is like Stephen A. Smith on ESPN. I'm willing to bet he doesn't care one bit about the Cowboys either way. But he goes on his daily rants just to get Cowboys fans to tune in to see what he's going to say and get ticked off.

I don't listen to him, or watch him, or click on links that have his comments on them.

Pretty much this. The outliers that get out of control always get more limelight. When your a fan of a team that's already constantly in the light, then those lunatics get even more of that light as a result.

Bayless is the same, he says the most ridiculous things and comes up with the most absurd ideas just to get attention from Cowboys fans. I don’t care of he does like the Cowboys, he annoys the hell out of me because he’s so over top. Steven A gets hated on because he’s not a fan and makes fun of the Cowboys but when he’s not doing it for show and he gets serious, he’s actually been pretty complimentary.

How about all the posts where you gleefully attacked fans who called out the mediocrity, nepotism, FO and HC out calling them bandwagoners? That sounds an awful lot like excusing the mediocrity since it offends you so much that others won't let it be excused.

Stop telling people how to be fans and let them be fans how they want to be. If they've been following the Cowboys through thick and thin for years, they're not bandwagoners.

Most all of us are true fans. There are few actual trolls. I wish you'd see that, man. You're a cool dude when you're not attacking disheartened fans.

One positive to draw from the loss was Dak's performance. That's definitely something to build on.

Why people say they don’t like the Cowboys because of the fans. Many of y’all complain so much about the owner/gm, front office, HC, coaching staff , RB, QB, DBs etc. it’s childish, ignorant, idiotic, and any other derogatory word that can be used. Y’all are the ones that when we do win , are so obnoxious, arrogant idiots , that makes people want to see us lose, or have chaotic stuff going on. They don’t dislike the players are the team rather they dislike the fans

I live in DFW but travel and often work in other cities.

People in other locations (both die-hard and casual) fans don't like Cowboys fans because:

Current Day: Because the Cowboys fans they meet tend to be buffoons that are clueless.
- When I speak coherently about football, they're shocked.
- They say most Cowboys only know the Cowboys Star players and don't know players on other teams.

In the Past: Arrogant. When the Cowboys were winning Super Bowls and for many years afterwards.

Most respect Staubach & Landry.
- Many respect some of the Nineties Cowboys like Aikman/Emmitt.
- Most that were adults back then wanted Jimmy as their HC after he split with Jerry.
- Some people respect Irvin but many hate him.
- Most hate Deion; although almost everyone considers him the best CB ever.

Surprisingly many respect Jerry as a team owner.

Most don't laugh about Jerry as GM.
- They don't believe that he actually functions as the GM.
- Most have a much higher opinion of Jerry than Skins owner Dan Snyder.

Other Generalizations:
Cowboys fans are Fair Weather fans. Quit watching when they're losing, etc..

People see (baseball) Chicago Cubs fans as true die-hard fans with Cowboys fans at the opposite end of the spectrum.

People respect Green Bay fans the most (Many don't like the QB Rodgers).

People respect fan groups like the Browns Dawg Pound for their die-hard intensity.

They consider the Skins Hogettes or anybody wearing a pig mask as creepy.

People all generally consider Eagles fans as similar to Jeffrey Dahmer or Ted Bundy.

Summary:
At least Cowboys fans are not Eagles fans...

Nah, enough other people are already doing that for me. Unfortunately, people like you are still in denial that Jerry screwed up big time but other people ate starting to “see the light”. You’re slow, so I don’t blame you personally. Eventually you’ll get it.

Not to mention, crying about one player who has been the biggest headache for this team since the day he was drafted and is the most overpaid player on this team is much different than having a complete mental breakdown after every loss.

Most of this is correct, IMO, but while a lot of people see Cowboys fans as being at the opposite end of the spectrum from Cubs fans, I think that's because of all the bandwagon fans who jumped on board during the 90's SB years, then gave jumped back off as soon as the ride got bumpy.
