While having a 49 QBR against winning teams...
Another dumb stat...the season is not over yet!! Will it make Dak stats better or worse at seasons end?? It is dumb stat!!

Are playoff teams considered winning teams?

Dak has a 75.5 QBR against Playoff teams..

Dak is young, talented, has shown the ability to win in clutch situations and he’s shown progress. There’s no reason at all to start looking to replace him. Especially if we’re about to improve the coaching.

Well, the fact that he wants to take up 15 to 20% of the cap by himself and is unsigned for next season is a reason. Hell, its the only reason we are really having this discussion.

Why is it......Romo is brought in conversation when it's stated daaaaaaak suuuuucks. But never when daaaaak is great ?

Romo is easily better than Dak. No question about it, ROMO CAN COME OUT RETIREMENT AND STILL SCHOOL DIK DAK.

Dak is not a franchise quarterback. At best a top backup I've said it from the beginning and will stand by it.
Waiting on being called a troll.... in 3 2 1 . Lol.

As a side note, has this board ever seriously sat down and questioned QBR as a stat? It was made up 15 years or so ago. Some people live by it and others . . . not so much.

https://www.pro-football-reference.com/years/2019/passing.htm

If you sort by rating, one guy (Stafford) in the top 10 is on a losing team and Dak is 13th. If you sort by QBR, Dak is 3rd but 4 of the top 10 players is on a losing team. Is QBR really saying what it purports to say? Does it give too much credit to QB's who are stat padding at the end of games?

Rating gives a ton of points to QB's that throw a large percentage of touchdowns and hits you hard for throwing INT's. That's how you win football games.

Its a HORRIBLE stat

Jimmy G was 14/20 threw for 253 yards with 2 TDs and 0 Ints. His QBR was an 18. Much lower than Dak’s vs the bears

So which stats do you think show an accurate reflection of a QBs play?

thats the business. He’s supposed to be asking for that based on what he’s already done.

These are the quarterbacks the Cowboys have started at least once since Troy Aikman retired. They were supposed to be the heir and continue our storied history of great quarterbacks leading the Cowboys to great seasons and championship seasons. Aikman never put up lofty stats but, he just won. After this list I'll point out why I did.
Quincy Carter
Anthony Wright
Ryan Leaf
Clint Stoerner
Chad Hutchinson
Vinny Testeverde
Drew Henson
Drew Bledsoe
Tony Romo
Brad Johnson
Jon Kitna
Stephen McGee
Kyle Orton
Brandon Weeden
Matt Cassel
Kellen Moore
Dak Prescott

This is since 2000. To put this in perspective, since 2001 Tom Brady (with the exception of injury having Matt Cassel, Jimmy Garoppolo and Jacoby Brissett filling in) has been the starting quarterback for the Patriots. We all know what the Patriots have accomplished during Brady's tenure as their starting QB.
If we're to finally have a QB that will be the face and future of the Cowboys, the powers that be have to make a decision. First, get rid of Jason Garrett as HC. Second, trade up with whichever team finishes last. Third, draft Joe Burrow and in no uncertain terms tell him he has the reigns for the next 15 or so years. Build a team around and for him just like we did around and for Troy Aikman. If you didn't watch the SEC Championship game you should have. He's just that good. Dak might have some big stats but, when you're behind trying to catch up and having to throw 50 times a game, you're going to pad your stats. Great stats don't always equal wins. With all the talent we have on this team we're only 6-7. Why? Garrett? Jones? There are a number of reasons but, one glaring reason to me is that we need that quarterback that will consistently be there and will win. Joe Burrow is that quarterback.
Meredith, Morton, Staubach, White, Aikman... (Burrow hopefully).

Use your eyes man. Folks need to stop letting numbers think for them...

If you didnt watch the game on Thursday and you checked the box score, you would think Dak played well.
How about watching 3.5 seasons (60 games) and 3 playoff appearances.....

I watched the game, Dak had a poor half.

Last time I checked every player from pee wee to Pros are taught to play till the last whistle...I guess

Yep.. Goff was that guy...Wentz was that guy...
Nice work...But you have No clue!!! ...how these collegiate QBs will fair.

Are you willing to mortgage the future or finish 6-10 (get close to top 3) to get Burrow.
You didn't think out the process
