you're wrong. you've been made to believe it isn't, and I say that as coach.

Ask a Patriots fan if coaching is overrated. So it was just the 6th round pick Tom Brady and the revolving door of different teammates who those six SBs? What about when Tom was injured? So it was Matt Cassel and the revolving door of players who won those 11 games back in 08?

We've had ex players, coaches, analysts all break down the offense and it's problems with predictability and lack of adjustments.

We also have 10 years of evidence that proves our coach is a Marvin Lewis and that is probably unfair to MArvin Lewis because at least he knows some X's and O's defensively.
Nope.

How did he outcoach mcvay? It's a simple question. Teach us football sir

Changed the LB rotation, attacked the DE and OLB in the run game, switched for an emphasis on 11 to 21 and 22 formations, gameplanned Jarwin into option 1 or 2 significantly more, pressed a lot more outside, and blitzed a lot more. that is just off the top of my head.

Frankly, if you have any clue about football it should have been obvious that the gameplan was different.

You are arguing with a guy who said on this board Garrett is as good a coach as Belichick.

Let that sink in.

it's overrated,

Coaching itself isn’t overrated. its game day coaching that gets massively overrated. Because fans see an outcome in a close game and automatically assume that a different playcall would have been effective where the one that was actually called was not. And they do it within it generally even understanding the reads or the issues with the call that was actually made. They have a bias towards firey coaches, too And young coaches. Which are both things that’ve always worked against Garrett, too.

In short, most fans have very little idea why they think what they think. And they get pissed when you point it out.

I love how you ignore the rest of the post. Fine i won't argue the LB rotation as I didn't realize Thomas was out. I'll just stand by the other 5 points I made.

in the grand scheme of things he didn't, just as McVay didn't outcoach him. I play these games with you minions. It's the players that outplayed the rams players and executed better than the Rams. As I said you find ways to pin losses on him, now you act like in your world you can't find ways he won...lol
It takes 15 weeks to coach a decent game and all the Garrett lovers come out drooling as if the first 14 weeks never existed.

again, players decides games. period.
Saying players decide games, has some merit but that's not entirely true. It's like saying soldiers win wars. But without a battle plan or strategy those players or soldiers would be lost.

Coaches decide whether a team plays one gap or two, man or zone, single high or two deep. They decide who takes the field and who doesn't. They create mismatches and decide personnel packages. Imagine a defense staying in its base package, with three linebackers on the field, while the offense deploys four wideouts. Coaches have the most influence on the outcome of a game. Go for it or punt. Trick play or screen. Every decision they make affects the outcome of the game.

Moore leaned on Zeke and the running game against the Rams. But what if he hadn't. What if he'd decided to let Dak throw it 47 times yesterday. That decision would have affected the outcome, right? So players and coaches are very similar to soldiers and generals. Soldiers win the battle by executing but generals win the war by gameplanning.
