It is not shocking it is what he is - a average QB that if you take the homer glasses off you see it, the DC deserve a better than a 16th to 20th type QB. All every one heard coming in was how hard Dak worked to fix his flaws and it didn't work out so well, just line Dak up against the weak sisters of the league and he's pretty good as long as Zeke runs great, put the game on Dak and sorry not so good why do you and others fail to see this major flaw. If you opened your eyes and look at Dak it is glaring obvious that Dak needs great talent all around him to elevated his average game, it should be that Dak elevates the lack of talent around him and we have already seen that doesn't work with Dak. I bet you predicted 11-5 or 12-4 and a deep playoff run hows the 8-8 feel and 0 wins against a quality team. Keeping Dak at very team friendly deal would be no problem but he wants the $ and unfortunately Jerry is stupid enough to pay him. I know with you homers it wasn't Dak's fault it is everyone else's, and that is sad and pathetic.

I stand corrected we beat the 9-7 Rams. Now I feel good about signing Dak to 35 Million per year!

Team sport. You don't attribute wins/losses vs good defenses and then turn around and whine that wins/losses are a team stat in another thread. It takes all 3 phases to work. The TEAM has been inconsistent. If you look at individual statistics Prescott is at the top. He's a pretty good QB. Fans get too wrapped up in salary. They act as if they're writing the checks. They say Prescott doesn't need 35-40 blah blah blah and they need to find an elite QB, but then turn around and say if he took a team friendly salary they would keep him.

Just put old Dak against the scrubs and bingo a stat machine appears, with lovers like you the lack of wins and missing the playoffs are everyone else's fault but old asterisk Dak's. What happened to Mr.Clutch, Mr. 4th quarter against the good teams, he disappears just like he does when teams stack the box and put the game on Dak and unfortunately he folds like a cheap tent. Dak may be here due to Jerrys poor talent evaluation but that doesn’t change what Dak is and will continue to be, below average against great teams, average against good teams above average against average teams and great against the scrub teams. Not a ringing endorsement for a franchise QB. Perhaps you could petition the NFL that Dak only plays against sub .500 teams next year then no telling what his stats might be.

I don't know how to post screenshot but I just saw a graph from first things fits that shows Dak is markedly worse against teams we need to beat to win it all. This year his qbr (I think) some people love to use drop from 112 against the Brooklyn Brawlers of the nfl to 87 against real life playoff caliber competition. These Dak fans need to just realize he's not that good against better competition. I know some will mention QB xyz but unless QB xyz play for the Cowboys I don't give a flip because they aren't playing for the team I root for. Chances are most of those qb's I wouldn't want either.

Didn't say you had to feel one way or the other about signing Dak... But Dak is going to get signed. The NFL is full of QBs who aren't worth what they were signed for. And.... As long as there are teams willing to "overpay"... that trend will continue.

Yeah, I've heard of a "Trap Game". Having said that... The Rams were playing for their "Playoff Lives". If they can't get up for that game... it's on them. I merely pointed out that the Cowboys did actually beat one team with a winning record.

Dak is a throwback. He has the right attitude and work ethic. He's the leader you want..........but he's not going win with his arm. Stat wise, he had a great year. But we all know a lot of those stats are garbage time. I think you franchise him and make him prove he can beat good teams. Context? I specifically stated the circumstances, (A good team plays well at all phases and is consistent) I'm not sure you know what that word means. Put it this way: Prescott played well enough for us to advance. He's had bad games, but who doesn't? I don't think Prescott is elite, but he's not a weak spot.
