Saw my last clap from Red yesterday and I gotta say that it felt pretty good, just wish it didn't come with a pick 17 selection for 2020.

Out with the old and in with the new.. Take Witten, Lee, Smith and Crawford with you.
Are you stupid? Who wouldn’t continue to want Lee as a backup?

The NFL hires/fires coaches every year and let's not forget that these guys are making millions of dollars. It's not about wishing him the worst but his tenure has run its course and its time to make a change.

Not to be cold but there are millions of people out of work, not to mention, people who are fired, laid off every day who probably dont deserve it. There are really good, honest, hard working people who lose their jobs and have to worry about how to pay their Bills that month and this guy had 10 years of average job performance and was handed millions.

Good luck in the future but that picture doesn't make me feel bad for him.

Case in point. I missed Garrett telling Maher to miss 35 yard FGs. Why didn't he just say the same thing to Maher that he did when he was making them from 60+? Bad coaching!

If you think Sean Lee is lost in coverage you aren't paying attention. If you think Garrett is responsible for the tripping penalties you aren't paying attention.

Garrett is responsible for 8-8 and was gone after the Bears game, for sure. But if we don't have the blocked punt against the Pats and we are in the playoffs. Or if the Zeke non-fumble is called correctly against the Saints we are in the playoffs. Or if there wasn't a once-in-20-years string of injuries during the Jets game we are in the playoffs.

if countless DBs didn’t drop Dak’s would be INTs, we would have lost games too.. Seems like the ‘near misses’ only apply to Dak and Garrett homers...

If the Giants want him they can have him. But, he isn't a fit enough for the Cowboys any longer and the best thing for the future of this franchise is to move onto to someone else. A coach who can get this team to play more consistently and not play like playoff contenders one week and stink it up badly while laying an egg the next week or vise versa. The Cowboys laying an egg against an undermanned Philly team last week and coming out yesterday to play well in a meaningless game is the exact problem with the Garrett era.

And why it's unlikely Garrett will ever get a Cowboys team to string together 3 or 4 strong games in a row in order to win a Superbowl.

I don’t understand how folks can have so much contempt for JG.

We’re not talking about an evil world leader or corrupt politician who’s really affecting civilization.

The guy was just trying to coach a football team for crying out loud. Ultimately, he failed.

Do folks lack emotional discipline to the point of directing irrational hatred towards the guy because he failed?
That can’t be healthy, lol.
You don’t have to be an evil world leader to be a bad person. You see his public persona and take that as his true self. Sometimes you have to look at the situation around him.

He failed as an offensive coordinator then got the HC job after another man was fired mid-season for him. Then he went through coordinator after coordinator all of whom lost their jobs too so all the excuses could be eliminated for Garrett. All excuses but one.

While all this was going on Garrett was content watching career after career get destroyed while he sat on his perch taking no responsibility on his shoulders at all or show anywhere near the remorse you and others are showing him.

I don’t know what you do for a living but I have a lot of people I am responsible for and if I were to care as little for any of those people as Garrett does I would have a difficult time sleeping with my conscience tugging at me.

The character he has is not shown by what he says but how he effects those around him. The evidence is pretty damning.

Yeah, that never happened to Wentz. Every DB he faced this year was Deion Sanders.

What does Wentz have to do with the discussion? It is you that is claiming we only lost, by the ‘luck of the draw’ as if we are the only team that loses by a mistake here, as if, say DBs on opposing defenses don’t drop Sure INTs on Dak’s duds on a regular basis.. I mean if our WRs drop all his duds, why wouldn’t DBs?

How can you feel "badly" for a below average former NFL player who was even far worse as a head coach and who has made millions of dollars ?

I feel bad for sick children , abused women and the homeless......................Please , let's keep things in perspective..........................

Good man.....wish him nothing but the best

I feel ya, hes a human being and I dont hate him. My fanhood doesn't warrant real life hate, but I certainly sports hate him.

That said hes also raised some red flags in my mind as well. He has repeatedly hesitated to take blame, first pointing to others early and often. I dont find that to be an admirable quality. If he is however correct in those instances and isnt allowed to make the necessary adjustments I find it just as pathetic letting the FO stop him from doing his job. I personally dont believe Jerry wouldn't let him call a time out and put Coop and Cobb in on 4th and 8 for the season instead of playing a practice squad receiver. (Just one example of many where he placed blame elsewhere first.)

Where did I show remorse for him??
Just because I’m NOT showing contempt for him doesn’t mean I have remorse for him. I’m sure he’ll be fine. I’m not emotionally wrapped up in my opinion of JG one way or the other.

Whose career did he ruin?

Well yes. With some people an 8-8 record is enough reason to cry like a 10 year old.

Garrett is ultimately responsible for the work product and it wasn't good enough to keep his job. Without question.

But 95% of the fans melting down over this don't even watch film, much less articulate the actual reasons why the team has a .500 record.
Well said Mein Kaiser.

So basically your original point was ridiculous, that we didn’t make the play-offs because one person fumbled. Every team in the league can say that.

But yeah, nobody throws ducks better than Dak. Not only do his WRs not up there leading the league in dropped balls, I’m pretty sure the DBs join in on the parade.

So basically you take your hatred of Prescott to comical levels.

So basically you take your blind homerism it Prescott, Garrett and Jerry to absurd levels that only Dallas is subjected to the bad luck of the draw and other teams aren’t..
