I think its pretty obvious at this point that the hay is in the barn and Garrett is staying. I'm sure there will be some changes to the staff with the most obvious being the respective dual D coordinators will both be gone and someone new will be brought in. I see the "Clapper" having his contract renewed for another 3 years. Unless that happens no new coaches will want to come here.

I can honestly say that if this happens my Cowboys loyalty would be in question.

You are missing the point. If he gets a job like that he will never get fired. Good lord it's not rocket science. Hell he has been **** for 10 years and hasn't gotten fired yet.

How do you take made up fairy tale jobs seriously? You could say the same thing if he was offered king for life too but that's not going to happen either. Just because someone says something foolish doesn't mean anyone has to take it serious or see the foolish reasoning behind it.

Read that post again and notice the quotation marks this time.

Oh because you put quotes on it means you actually know what their jobs are. By doing that it brings up questions on just how much you know about them because if you did know there would be no reason to say in quotes their jobs are something other than what they are.

Sarcasm goes over your head.

Except the person that wrote it wasn't using sarcasm. His excuse was I didn't understand that Garrett would never get fired from that job and I told him that it doesn't matter what I think about a fairy tale made up job.

Fine go be a fair weather fan for some other team. You sound just like the so called fans that say they are done until Jones is gone. I'm a Cowboys fan which mean that I'm a fan regardless of whether or not I dislike a coach or player or owner. My loyalty to the Cowboys will never be questioned.

I'm gonna call BS on that since I used to say the same thing. There's only so much anyone can endure before they say enough is enough. I've been waiting for a return to prominence since 1996, and I held firm in my loyalty until the night Jerry drunkenly admitted to the world why he hired Bill Parcells. It had nothing to do with winning and everything to do with fulfilling his own personal, selfish ambitions. It was all downhill from there, and the last of the 3 straight 8-8 seasons from Garrett is what did it for me. My loyalty and passion for the team hasn't been the same since.

I have zero faith that Jerry is going to make the right decision on the current situation, and why should I or anyone else think differently? He's proven to fans everywhere that he is going to do what he thinks is best for him first. Team and fans will always be secondary and very low on his list of priorities.

I can't stand it when people call others fair weather fans. Anyone that's lasted with this zoo this long is not fair weather. Why should we care more than the owner? This is supposed to be fun. It would be one thing if the owner was just incompetent but he knows what he has to do to win and he won't do it.

Disagree. I've been a fan since 1967 when I was 12 and have followed them even when I was overseas serving our country in absolute hell holes and still found a way to follow the team and root for them. However, I think the lack of good coaching has killed this team for years and we are allowed to complain. That's our right and without us, there would be no Dallas Cowboys. We pay the owners and the owners pay the players. I think we have plenty of talent but our coaching has been sub standard for years. Give our rooster to one of the top flight coaches out there and we would have won more games and yes more titles. That falls squarely on Jerry Jones and no one else, because he picks the coaches. I hope he looks and the mirror and decides getting rid of Garrett is not only the right thing but the only thing that has of chance of making what this team should be. Why would any player not want to come to Texas. Good weather, no state income tax and if you are a Dallas Cowboy you are treated like a king. Jerry has screwed this up and he needs to fix it and keeping Garret on the payroll in any shape of form isn't the right or smart thing to do..

Truth! I’ve been a Boys fan since Staubach/Dorsett and have never wavered good times or bad but it’s gotten to the point that our team has become a joke and if JJ is not going to actually do anything to try to improve it, it’s fair for fans to walk. 35+ years doesn’t qualify as fair weather. For that matter sitting thru 10 years of Garrett’s garbage teams Isn’t fair weather either.

Your loyalty is one of the biggest questions on the forum.
