There has been some talk in the media that Lewis could be a name to remember in term of the defensive coordinator position.

What would your thoughts be if Lewis was our next defensive coordinator?

might as well keep Marinelli.

Let's make this all about social justice, shall we?

Here is the deal. If he agreed to the interview, he is disrespecting himself to the same level you believe the organization is being "classless".

That is just as much on him as it is on anyone else. He has free will.

Have class. Respect the rule that the owners have agreed to follow.

These are simple things.

Ideally, we hire a HC first, and then let him pick the DC. But Lewis seems to value DT and S more than Marinelli, so anyone like that is an improvement over him in that regard. Gotta get more consistent pressure in the middle.

Totally classless move to interview a guy for HC to satisfy Rooney then turn around and offer him a lesser job.

Seems classless to assume he was only given an interview to satisfy the Rooney rule.

He's an experienced head coach and the Joneses know him. Not surprising at all that they would interview him.

Marvin Lewis is well respected around the NFL by owners and front offices alike. This is a legit interview. If only to pick his brain about the AFC North because he has coached the Bengals for more then 10 years. I certainly would ask him about Lamar Jackson and the Steelers defense. We play that division next season.

I would like Lewis here as DC. As a head coach he was the AFC's version of Jason Garrett. No playoff success.

I agree. Like Garrett he had a chance and was paid handsomely for it. I don't feel bad for either of those guys because they did have some level of success. Both guys would be asset to your organization. Just not as head coaches.
