I like Marc Columbo and always will. I imagine he will be a part of a Garrett staff somewhere in the future.

having said that we now have added a third assistant coach with a lifetime of football experience and a former NFL head coach.

If Haslett is hired that would be four former head coaches as positional coaches here.

This is great news.

In Pop Warner?

Damn. McCarthy is sparing NO ONE (except Moore). I expected a clean house but not this. Jerry isn’t playing this time.... he must’ve been really angry or disappointed to let it come to this.
I am not sure about this. I mean I agree with you about cleaning house. But I don’t know this coach. Our O-Line was able to block both ways. How is he gonna handle this. Remember the coach JG hired from the bengals, started changing there techniques and it was a disaster bro. I mean they looked bad. We had injuries and Fredbeard being out hurt but our O-Line suffered. Will he help.

Got this from the News Zone:

Joe Philbin took over as the interim head coach in Green Bay when Mike McCarthy was fired last season and it looks like the two men will be back together in 2020.

We seem to be attracting a lot of former head coaches.

As coach:

Maybe. I hope not. I think it says he saw what Kellen did here last year and wants him to be his OC.

All I've seen is MM has expressed "interest" in keeping KM. Or that he is "expected" to be retained.

People said the exact same kinds of things about Colombo.

We'll see.

I don't think any coach minus maybe Moore should of even been considered by McCarthy to stay around.

This hire plus Tomsula now hired...........I'm liking that McCarthy has hit the ground running.................his "process" seems to be a bit faster than we're used to

I always felt like we'd see how serious Jerry was by how long it took to hire a new HC. It's obvious Jerry wanted to get someone in right away so they could get to work. It's also obvious, due to the speed this is all coming together, that Jerry had been working on this long before the season ended. McCarthy is having no problems plucking coaches from other teams which tells you he had already been giving people a heads up for if, or when, he was hired in Dallas. I'm actually very impressed with McCarthy so far. He's been very decisive...
