Yeah, this news saddens me a bit. I thought Kitna did a nice job with Dak and would have liked to see that continue.

He was probably our best backup QB too.

Part of me is happy because they need to clean house of the coaches that weren’t getting anything out of players. He needs to make his on staff. But part of me thinks it sucks when Kitna’s contributions actually showed on the field. Moore is not a qb coach. They are going to have to get someone in here for that.

He has no choice on Moore. But wouldn’t shock me if Moore is gone by next season. I think he’s here to help the transition go smoother sort of like how Parcells kept Zimmer.

I don't disagree. I said it the other day. I have seen MM do this before...he gets enamored with QB's...and it wouldn't shock me to see him grab a free agent, trade for a prospect or draft a guy. I wouldn't be shocked to see Gardner Minshew brought in..or Ryan Fitzpatrick.. In the draft, watch out for Fromm or hurts. Doesn't mean he doesn't love Dak...its just who MM is. He values that position over all others. AS WELL HE SHOULD.

Didn't McCarthy while at GB draft a QB every year, or seemed like it. I know some coach had that philosophy and am thinking it is MM.

? I have been reading your posts, and I don't think you get it. It's almost as if you have never experienced an organizational change in your life or at your place of work.

When the Chairman of the Board of your company fires your CEO you should expect wholesale changes more often than not.

Keeping staff loyal to the exiting CEO is a recipe for more mediocrity as the organization works through and learns how to work together again. You leave in the building a ton of conflicting emotions and divided loyalties.

Head coaches have the right to assemble staff who are loyal to them and their concepts. You need these fundamental cornerstones if you want a team who can power through the challenges of an NFL season.

Much of the whispers on this team is now coming to light on dysfunction. You want to retain that for up coming Cowboys season?

I just don't understand where your head is at. If you think 8-8 was not going to result in wholesale changes this year, then I would say you are seriously deluded and certainly out of touch with the realities of this team and the realities of NFL football.

PRETTY MUCH, YEP. Even tho he had Rodgers. But I like that. Competition breeds success. Dak gets to comfortable, as does many other starters. MM will create healthy competition.

forget the stats, and the late season regression. To start the season (even against bums) Daks mechanics looked quite a bit different. Also he was attacking the middle of the field, and deep. There quite a few things that seemed to directly translate / correlate to things kitna specifically touched on

I hope Moore is not the QB coach, again. He did nothing to help Dak but Kitna did.

However I did read where Dak also spent time in CA last off season with a guy, I want to say last name was Johnson. Who is a motion throwing type guru. Worked with Tom Brady, also many MLB top pitchers.
