The people who spam this board with their "I just watched a non-Dallas game and it's confirmed all my biases about Cowboys players I hate for cosmetic reasons you can guess" are pretty rough.

I wish our team had better fan communities than ones like this, but I suppose the problem is the trashbag fanbase we have. Ah well.

Rodgers brain, Favres arm, Randall Cunningham’s legs.

"But, But, Buut... we can't have a guy as talented as Mahomes because they are rare"

I wonder what the Chiefs were thinking wasting a first round pick on a QB, heck, they even moved up in the draft to pick him even though they already had their "Dak" in Alex Smith..

Alex Smith was a "winner" in KC and "led" them to the playoffs every year as a starter..

Alex Smith had a top QBR and accuracy percentage over that span I wonder what the Chiefs were thinking getting rid of him and taking a chance on a Blue Chip Stud QB..

He is limited. That’s the point. Dak isn’t even on Mahomes or Wilson’s levels. However, Dak also isn’t on
Jackson’s level (I know he lost yesterday. He still lead his team to 14-2. He choked in a big game. Dak has done that multiple times).
Watson’s Level
Josh Allen’s level
Rodger’s level
Brees’ level
Dare I say, Cousins’ or Garappolo’s level.
Brady’s level
And he’s tied on the same level as Goff. Wentz is slightly above them both.

He’s severely limited despite having better weapons than most. That includes Wilson, Allen, Watson (besides D-Hop and Fuller, his o-line sucks), Rodgers, Garappolo, etc.

Now go ahead and list all of the first round QB’s taken recently that can’t hold a candle to Mahomes.

Folk's here forget who we are and that having such an inept QB under center is totally insulting against our pedigree and history!
Wake up Cowboy brothers you are part of America's Team!!!!!

Yep. We need to follow suit. Chiefs actually had the balls to drop Smith and realize maybe drafting a QB isn’t as big of a risk as we think it is. And they struck gold. Everyone is so scared of drafting Quincy Carter when we could draft another Wilson or Mahomes. This fear has got to STOP. I bet a few chiefs fans were complaining when Smith was let go. Bet they’re not complaining now. We could be the same, but instead, we’re settling with mediocrity out of fear of change.

So you are comparing Dak to the 2 best QBs in the game today. If Dak isn’t as good as Mahomes he sucks.

What is depressing is that people think this way.

No more depressing than the people who say "we need to keep Dak because we could end up back in the Quincy Carter years if we don't"

Willingness to settle for mediocrity is no more valiant than hoping for excellence. In fact I think the former is worse frankly

If you actually watched Watson play his oline isn’t that bad, he just holds onto the ball too long. Allen sucks. And Rodgers and Garappolo just have way better scheme and coach

How did the Chiefs end up with Mahomes again?

They drafted him.

I’m not arguing that. I said list the first round QB’s that flat out bust or come nowhere close to Mahomes.

you conveniently ignore that part every single time you tell your story about the Chiefs moving on from Alex Smith and drafting Mahomes.

Waiting Mahomes and now Russell Wilson just really opened my eyes. These guys are on another world compared to Dak. Kind of depressing
Hmm..

When Dak first arrived in 2016..

he looked to be the prototype of future QBs..

running, throwing, leadership..

as a package he seemed very doable going forward.

Fast forward to 2019..

he leads the NFL as a QB..

directs the #1 offense..

throws for over 4500 yds and 21 tds.

reduces his sacks from 60+ to like 20..

decreased his interceptions drastically..

had 2 WRs over 1000 yds and a 3rd over 800+ yds.

His #1 RB was over 1300 yds running with another 400 pass receiving.

That is pretty impressive.

If you want to bring us up to level the playing field..

fix our defense to better compete against better competition.

Then Dak looks way way better.

Remember..there are 53 guys on these teams.

Not just a QB.

I’ll add. I’ve said that if the Cowboys decide to draft a first round QB. I am ok with it.

Let’s be real though. The chance of that QB being on Mahomes level is like less than 10%.

That’s just the reality. But if people want to roll the dice on that. That’s fine.

We are living the Quincy Carter years the difference is that this team has a lot more talent around the current QB.
