the longer this stand off goes on..we could have a nasty divorce between Dak and the team..via trade . Amari may also be headed out. This will be a bad day around here if that happens. MM either is a genius or will be pissed we didn't get it done.

With the new CBA he cant do that because he will be fined everyday and the teams cant ignore the fine or pay it for the players. It's now on the player completely to pay.
Is that for an unsigned tag or is that for a signed player that doesn't show up like what Zeke did last year? Is there a difference?

Wait... becuase they placed a "FRACHISE" tag on him this is proof he isnt viewed as a franchise player?

Not making sense today my man.

they placed a franchise tag on him to cover themselves for this year and continue to limit him to negotiating with us. If they thought he was a franchise QB they would have paid him. You think they would get 2 first rounders for him ? Being the franchise QB he is...lol...

Possibly, but I thought I read that the new CBA makes it tougher for players to hold out. Can't remember the specifics off the top of my head though.
Can’t hold out when you’re a free agent my man

Dak wont play under the tag. He will either be traded for picks or signed long-term. Dallas was always gonna drag this out...but I cant help to wonder if they overplayed their hand.

An unsigned player can’t be fined because they aren’t technically on the team or something like that. Zeke is different than Dak in that regard

The Cowboys now have until 15 July to get a deal done with Dak. If that does not happen then negotiations are off and they'll try again next off season. The Cowboys actually need to get Dak signed by April 1st so he is guaranteed to be at OTAs. I suspect Dak will not sign the tag so that he keeps some leverage on the Cowboys during the remaining negotiation period.

JJ poised to ruin this team AGAIN. Market value is dictating salary. JJ really showing the love or the lack thereof. Come on down Cooper, next man up...…???? Dak it's your turn to be the Fall Guy.

Dak and his agent wont stand for this charade. I now can realistically see a trade.

I actually think the Joneses have the advantage in this one. 33 million for one year and possibly 38 million for the second year means we are not wasting future money at the position. If Dak plays we’ll tag him again. Half of the board thinks he sucks anyway so if he plays poorly we will let him go.
